Well nothing says “extremely pregnant lady” like a pair of stretchy pants. haha! ok, ok Leggings. I just like saying stretchy pants because it reminds me of Nacho Libre, which by the way is one of my favorite movies. I never wear leggings. I mean I do of course but they are mostly restricted to: yoga, pjs, and late night walks with Kev. I do not really like them as an everyday wardrobe staple. I guess when you are 38 weeks pregnant you have to let go of somethings. I am feeling huge!
The lovely Megan Nielsen was nice enough to donate one of her dresses to the Delightful Dozen to pass around and style. I was excited because it was something I could actually wear while being this pregnant. I have had to take a little bit of a back seat with signing up for swap items the past few months. I don’t know if I am just monstrously tall compared to the other DD girls but there was no way this dress was a dress for me. I had to wear it with something and well my bottoms selection are very small these days. It consists of jeans shorts, like 2 skirts and well these leggings. So leggings it was. I decided if I was going to wear leggings I should at least try to make myself look a little dressed up to even out that I was wearing what I think of as pjs. So I added an animal print belt, a really pretty necklace and my little cropped jacket from LOFT. I actually really liked how the whole outfit looked together.

It looks like you’re a normal height and most of the girls are just really short. That’s what it’s like in the world of blogging (it seems, at least).
Are you sure about leggings? they look pretty cute on you
I never noticed that you didn’t wear leggings. you should! and that bracelet is adorable! 🙂
Contrary to how you may feel, you actually don’t look huge. I think this outfit is very slimming. You don’t look that pregnant.
I just love the colors – it’s very city cool, but girly too with that fab necklace.
To me it looks like you are a very tall lady, I say this because in one of your wardrobe posts from a long time ago you were standing in front of a closet door and you were about the same height as the door. Maybe that’s only ‘tall’ to me, I only have 5 feet and 2 inches to call my own.
I am the same way with leggings, I just feel as though my rear (can I say that?) is a little too out there for everyone to see. I just gave birth to my second daughter and I can tell you I felt large (and really sick and tired of being pregnant) at 38 weeks.
Your outfit looks great!
Maybe you should rethink your meaning about leggins 🙂
Jen, you look sooooo adorable, just makes me want to put my hand on your cute little tummy……I CAN’T WAIT!!!!!!!
This is one of my favorite outfits of yours! I personally LOVE leggings and am actually wearing a pair right now! You can definitely ROCK them!
Love the teeny belt above the belly <3
You look beautiful! I love the belt over the baby bump 🙂
the leggings are sweet – ‘specially with this outfit – like that green on you, too!
Awesome outfit, Jen! You look adorable.
I really like this! I doubt you are really freakishly tall compared to the other girls…I have more of a suspicion that this “dress” is probably too short to be worn as a dress by anyone!
Jen,
This looks really cute on you! I love the mix of the army shirt with the pretty details of your necklace. I understand wanting to wear comfy pants, not that I am pregnant. But lately the weather has been cooling down and jeans just seem so uncomfortable after wearing dresses all summer, so I am feeling the leggings! You look beautiful and glowing, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
You look super cute!
YES – I call them stretchy pants too!!!! looove nacho libre. that makes me smile 🙂
We have the same exact due date (although this is my fourth…in 5 years), so I understand the “feeling huge” comment. But let me tell you…you truly look great. The outfit is adorable, you’re adorable and those leggings…you really should consider adding them to your wardrobe permanently.
Leggings look very cute on you, you look gorgeous Jen.
well you might be an “extremely pregnant lady†but you look great and very stylish!
Very cute! I love the necklace with the whole ensemble. And….stretchy pants!? I love em’ I think they look pretty cute with the “dress?”
I’m excited for you to have your baby girl. I just had my baby girl last Monday and she’s amazing. Enjoy every minute of it. I already have a 3 year old boy and now know just how fast it goes so I’m trying to enjoy EVERYTHING…
But – I just wanted to share with you the BEST EVER SWADDLERS. My mom bought me these and I LOVE them so much. They are so big and swaddle the baby so well. I have bigger babies apparently (8lbs.+) and they just don’t stay swaddled in receiving blankets. I don’t want to swaddle my baby girl in anything else now. I’m just so excited about them cause I love to swaddle my babies (they love it) and HAVE to share with SOMEONE!
You may like the winter weather ones for the time of year and where you live. I have the classic collection cause it’s hot here in Vegas. Anyway – enjoy!

You still look so great. If I remember correctly leggings are a preggo’s best friend…stretchy.
Love your necklace!
Nothing is wrong with leggings on you. They look very nice. I also love the jacket, I didn’t know LOFT had those.
Sometimes, when you are a man, you wear streeeeeeeeetchy pants. Alone in your room. Is for fun.
And sometimes, leggings or tights on the bottom are just necessary. I’m a tall lady, and I’ve got a couple dresses-on-other-people that I need to wear as tunics or tops. The leggings work here, I think! 😀
