I finally found a reason to like/enjoy low rise pants! Usually I can’t stand them, but at least now they let me wear non maternity pants longer. My growing belly can sit right on top (that’s really weird to say). I wear longer tanks or a belly band anyways while pregnant so it works out just perfect. Score! I have been wearing this sweater nonstop since it came in the mail last week. It is so thick and warm. It’s like a jacket almost. I like my new haircut but I only really love it when I can curl it. That doesn’t happen everyday so most days I will be honest and say it’s in a ponytail or up in a bun. Good thing I can work on growing it out a little bit again before the baby is here. Wow. That was a lot of random thoughts about this outfit.

Like my new “Mommy bag”? I don’t like using the word diaper bag. Especially when it’s for a bag as cool as this. The nice people over at JJ Cole Collections were gracious enough to send me this new bag and some other goodies (bottle pod & a diapers and wipes pod) for the new baby. I have been using the bag for a week already and have gotten lots of compliments. I am head over heels. My favorite part? It has insulated Sippy cup holders on the side of the bag. This makes my life so much easier. Love them!

Shhh! Don’t tell but I am actually 25 weeks. I just never got this post up last week. We are rolling right along these days. Life is busy and the weeks are flying by. I was talking to my mom the other day and we realized I wouldn’t be seeing her till mid November. All of the sudden that made me realize how quickly (and soon) this sweet baby girl will be here. Crazy. Now that Rowan’s new room is finished, it’s time to start thinking about the new nursery. I am pretty excited about coming up with ideas. I think I have a color scheme all picked out already but that’s it. We are also pretty darn set on her name. It was a name I’ve had picked out since before we were even pregnant. I think it is the perfect fit and matches Rowan’s name as well (not that it really matters).

This jacket is my new favorite fall item. I am not a huge fan of dressing for pregnancy. Most of the time I’m uncomfortable and I hardly ever feel like myself. This jacket makes me feel like “me”. Not sure if that makes any sense at all? It does in my head. I love the two tone colors to it.

I am partnering up with Lulu’s this month to share some cute Mommy & Me outfit posts. Each week when I post my weekly maternity outfit, I will also be sharing how you can get the look for not only yourself, but your little one as well. We are starting off with a good one! I am pretty obsessed with these polka dot pants. I may not be able to zip them up at the moment (thank you Bellyband!) but with this longer maternity denim shirt no one is the wiser.

Week 23! I’ve finally started to feel this little girl on a regular basis. It took forever! I’ve always heard you feel the baby sooner with the second, but not for me. She is quite active at night now a days though. It’s so great to feel her kicking around in there. We’ve been trying to talk to Rowan about the baby. I’m pretty sure we’ve just convinced her that everyone has a baby in their belly. It will click one of these days for her. A few of our close friends have had babies in the last couple weeks and she is just so sweet with them. I am excited to see her with her own baby sister.

I seriously can not believe that we are already half way through this pregnancy. Time seems to fly by with the second one. Like I just mentioned in my Friday Favorites post, I really love longer elastic waist skirts and tank tops this summer. They are comfy to wear and I still can feel a little bit like my old self (style wise). Unintentionally, it seems like Sunday turned into tutu day. Rowan wore her purple tutu and I wore my version of one. Who doesn’t love a tulle skirt?

As my bangs are getting longer I am forcing myself to try out some new styles. I am still not convinced on the middle part, but it is growing on me each time I wear it. I’m also sort of playing with the idea of cutting my hair into a bob? Will I regret that? I might.

Maternity Wears: Week 18

week18.1

The bump has come! It is still small and still questionable, but it is there none the less. I am starting to feel more comfortable in tighter tops so it seems more noticeable that I am pregnant and not just gaining lots of weight. Seriously? Does anyone like this stage? Like I said last week, I kind of hate these “are you pregnant or not” looking few months. Almost everything in my closet has stopped fitting. I have switched to a pair of maternity jean shorts that I pretty much wear everyday. All my high waisted skirts are too tight and the waistline on all my dresses just don’t work. This dress on the other hand is great! No waist line at all. Topped with a belt and a cat necklace made from a bullet and I was ready for a special date night with Kev.

p.p.s. you know what always makes you feel like a million bucks? A new pedicure. Ahhh my favorite!!

Maternity Wears: Week 17

MWWeek177

I haven’t quite decided how I will document each week here on the blog now that the news is out. I loved out weekly photo shoots for Rowan, but I’m looking to switch things up a bit this time. I will be doing at least 1 weekly maternity style post. Here is the first one!

These first few months are rough. You aren’t showing that cute bump as much as you just look thicker in the middle. Ugh. I hate this stage. It really, really drives me crazy. Oh well. Powering through with the few elastic waist skirts that are large enough to head up over the small but growing bump.
