Celebrating 7 Years.

maine9

We headed up to Ogunquit, ME a few weekends ago to celebrate our 7 year wedding anniversary. I can hardly believe we have been married that long. My heart is full of things I want to say about being married to Kev. But really all it boils down to is that I am so very grateful that on that day, 7 years ago, I stood in front of a boy who was my very best friend. We have had ups and downs for sure but at the end of the day and 2,555 days later I am still standing, holding hands and living an awesome life with my very best friend.

Here are a few of pictures from our weekend away and a little home movie with a silly interview about being married with kids.

  2. That video is so cute and I love the evolution of pictures from your first anniversary. I agree, marriage is awesome before and after kids but in totally different ways. I think after kids you begin to cherish those alone moments a whole lot more!

  3. This is so lovely, Jen! Congratulations on 7 years!

  4. Congrats! You and Kev are adorable. Love the movie 🙂 And Maine… gorgeous!!! Went once when I was a kid and have dreamed of going back ever since.

Love Ogunquit and LOVE The Anchorage! We stay there every summer 🙂

  6. Happy anniversary! Cute video! My favorite part..”oh ya, that was awesome when she cried the whole time” 🙂

  7. Congrats on 7 years! Our 7th anniversary is in October. I also love how Kev is so real in the video 🙂 After 16 months, I might finally say that marriage with kids is better than without…but for a while there I wasn’t so sure. Ha!

    See you in one month!

  8. I love your photo tradition!

  13. Ahaha! Love this, you guys. Especially Kevin in the background quipping about crying babies and married life with kids. Love doing life with you guys at Terra and worshipping Jesus together. He makes all the difference! A 3 cord strand and all that 😉 Blessings on you in your 8th year together and many many more to come!

I read your blog all of the time, and this is by far the sweetest post. The video is perfect. You remind me so much of myself – from the way you talk about your kids, to the way you were holding Finley and smooching on her half the video. So sweet. Happy 7 Years.

happy anniversary! i love the photo tradition 🙂 and i was laughing about how people always show their lives/kids happy times, then kev in the video is like “yeah Rowan screaming for an hour…that was awesome”
oh the joys of parenthood 🙂 🙂

  16. That is so sweet! My husband and I celebrate our 7 year anniversary, too, in August!

  17. Cutest. Tradition. Ever. STEALING IT. 🙂

  18. It’s so cute to see you two through the years! I love the video, too! 🙂 Congratulations!

  19. Great video and great post! Congrats on 7 years! And I totally agree–the interview was a hoot! Totally a conversation we would have! Blessings on your next year of life shared together.

  20. I love the interview in the video! It made me chuckle and I can sympathize and relate so well. I’m breastfeeding my 16 week old baby girl and not pumping, so it wasn’t in the cards to go out for our anniversary this year. Instead, my husband surprised me with live lobsters and fancy steak. It took us hours to make our fancy meal and we didn’t start eating till 9 pm. As soon as we were seated and sliced into into my steak, our sweet baby woke up crying. We just kind of laughed and I ended up holding her while I ate… It probably wasn’t the romantic dinner either of us pictured, but it was great in a whole different way.

  21. love the photo tradition! so cute!

  22. What a cute couple! Sweet picture tradition!
