4 Generations…

The girls and I got to travel up to Canada this past week with my Mom to visit a bunch of my relatives. It was so nice to be able to introduce Finley to everyone! We got to see my Grandparents, Aunt, Uncle and Cousins on my Mom’s side and my Dad’s Mom as well. Rowan even got play with her second cousin which was so awesome. My cousins were our best friends growing up so I am always so excited when we get to spend time with them.

My favorite part of the trip though was documenting having 4 generations all together. Not something that happens all that much in our family with everyone being so far away. We spent a lovely afternoon with my Nana (Dad’s Mom) and even got to look through her wedding album with her. I love looking through family history like that. Wasn’t she just the most beautiful bride? I know everything is digital now a days, but there is something so wonderful about a book of printed pictures. I need to remember to print more of our photos instead of just sticking them on my computer.

p.s. I have another 4 generation picture to share with my Mom’s Mom from out trip too!

  1. That’s so awesome to see photos of your grandma’s wedding! So gorgeous. 🙂 Also I’m with you on printing more photos. I actually just ordered test prints from WHCC to create an account. I’ve decided every year starting this year I will print a book of my favorite photos from the year. You never know what could happen to your computer and I’ve heard so many stories of people losing photos on their computer.

Gorgeous ladies by the way! 🙂

I think Rowan looks a little like your grandma!

  3. That is so awesome and so special, Jen. Both my grandmothers have passed away, and I know they would have loved to meet my (future) children and be apart of our lives in that way. These are such great stories for Rowan to hold dear as she grows older, and I’m sure she will tell her children about how special it was that her mom was so thoughtful in this way. Hope you have so much fun on your trip!

  4. Your mom and grandma are beautiful! I see where you get it from lovely lady. I just adore the generation photo. What a special moment to capture.

  5. Your family is full of gorgeous girls!

  6. So beautiful! We take a 5 generation photo whenever possible. Usually at my Great Grandmothers request.. lol.

  7. So beautiful, and so special. I had one grandma alive when the first three boys were born, but she never met my fourth, and only now I realize how very special it was to have her meet the first three. Enjoy her, even if it is through letters or phone calls. 🙂
    Aloha friend–you look beautiful too!

  8. This is so lovely. I love when all the generations come together.
And also you are such an amazing photographer! I’m going to have to keep trying and trying you always capture the light so beautifully.

  9. So adorable. These photos are keepsakes for sure!
