4 WEEKS! We survived the first 4 weeks!! It was tough, but we did it and if I do say so myself, we did it with flying colors! If anything it has brought us all closer together. I really feel like Kev and I have grown even stronger, tighter, and more in love as we worked our butts off adjusting and taking care of our girls (and of course Kev taking care of me!). There has been tears (mostly me- ok,ok Rowan may have me beat there), laughs, sleepless nights, lots of cuddling, tantrums, sleepy babies, silliness, time outs, working from home, special trips, lots of help from family and friends, photo shoots and snowy days. With all the ups and downs the first month can bring, I can happily and confidently say that most of all there has been a lot of love.
Here are a bunch of pictures from our first month…
Finley’s Headbands are from my favorite etsy shop Little Hip Squeaks
Bike Sleeper from the talented el Sage Designs
Baby Wrap from Solly Baby
Baby Swing is a MamaRoo by 4Moms
Pia Wallen Cross Blanket from Story North
Congratulations! One month! It sounds like you two are doing awesome. What a beautiful family you have. Keep it up!
I can’t believe it’s already been 4 weeks! I’m sure it went even faster for you. She’s so sweet.
Looks like a lovely first month!

So sweet!
If you don’t mind, what kind of diapers is little Finley wearing? I’m expecting my first in late March and plan on cloth diapering, but am nervous that the diapers I have will be too big on a newborn. Finley’s look so soft and well fitting, so I’m wondering what kind they are. Thanks so much!
Ok that photo of kev with the girls must make you the proudest wife/mother ever. it’s just so perfect. so glad you guys found the first month so easy. Congratulations and hello month 2!
I’m just so in love with your family!
I recently found your blog by way of a style post in which you were wearing J.Crew Saturday pants, which I also have and wear multiple times a week. I actually own multiple pairs. hee They’re awesome pants, though, as you know. I read that you were having breastfeeding struggles and my heart immediately went out to you, as my little one and I struggled too. She took about six weeks to obtain a good and consistent latch. It was rough… lots of pumping, dropper feeding, sleepless days and nights, and many tears. I hope your struggles are behind you. And now I see you also baby wear AND cloth diaper. I love your parenting style even more! 🙂 So happy to have found your sweet blog home.

Such a sweet recap of your first month. Tears are to be expected. One of my favourite memories (now) of the first month with two kids is of us all crying (over god knows what) and then bursting into laughter over the insanity of it all.
I’m obsessed with the knotted headbands! Congratulations & beautiful photos.
Love reading along as your family grows & changes. You were one of the first blogs I ever started reading a few years ago and I’m still here 🙂
So adorable! And what?! They’re doing Yo Gabba Gabba Live this year? I need to find one near us to take my daughter lol, she’d love it!
If you don’t mind me asking, what was the hardest part about the first month having 2 kids instead of one? We’d love to try for #2 within the next year or two but I’m so scared lol.

How has it been with Rowan? Our babies will be roughlyh that far apart too and I’m nervous!
Your family is beautiful!
That photo of Kevin and the girls just warms my heart! Also, I’ve found myself going back and checking out your “first family photos” over and over again.

A tiny baby leg and wrinkled baby tummy! ‘m dying!
It looks like you’ve had quite a month, in an awesome way! Sounds like you and Kev are doing such a great job with your littles, both of them 🙂
Congratulations!!! The little baby crying face makes me heart ache. Not sure why because those times felt the craziest. Love all the photos by the way 🙂
Congrats! We must have had our babies on almost the same day because we celebrated 4 weeks on Sunday! I can’t believe how fast the time flies… or how hard some days are in comparison to others. You guys make a very beautiful family of four!
OMG. I cant believe it has been a month. You sound, like like you are having the time of your life. Have been following you blog since 2009 and this is the first time I have commented. Rowan is a peach, she is so cute. Finnley, will grow up so fast. Thanks for sharing these lovely family moments with us.

What a beautiful family! I’m wondering how you like the MamaRoo?
Oh, it’s pictures like these that make me want to move somewhere with seasons!
The boys and I are all such cozy-freaks…if it just starts to rain while we are homeschooling, everyone “needs” hot cocoa and blankets! haha, never mind it is still mid-70’s out. 🙂 Even Levi always snuggles next to me and says “COZY UP.” haha.
Gorgeous photos, and way to go–You’re off to a splendid start!!

I love that you use the Paul Buff lighting. I havent been able to use mine since we got to England because I havent worked out how to use it with the different power here. But i love that company.
