We’ve had to slow things down around here lately. I have been put on partial bedrest because of my blood pressure. How you lay down on your side and rest for even just part of the day with a 2 year old running around is beyond me. Kev is of course being super supportive and helpful and I am trying to accept that there may be more tv than what is usually allowed the next few weeks for little Miss Rowan.
Laying around today though I was feeling extremely grateful for my growing family. I have so many things to be thankful for. I spent a lot of time looking through pictures on my phone and thought I would share a few from over the past week or so…
Daddy/Daughter Nap | Full Term! | Our Christmas Tree | Feeding Goats | Double count down | Story time | New to us dresser | Quiet time on the couch | Cool baby | Pomegranates and christmas decorations | A classy lunch of mac and cheese and kale | Little baby clothes
Hi! I just started reading you blog and I wanted to give you a quick tip on getting the pomegranate seeds out of the pomegranate. Instead of cutting it up, just cut the Pom in half and hold it over a bowl in the sink and hit it with a heavy spoon. This may sound weird, but it totally works! the seeds just fall right out into the bowl!
That picture of Kev and Rowan lounging is adorable!
Looks like you’ve been having fun and getting ready for the newest addition to your family. What an exciting time for you and your family. Happy holidays. 🙂
Hi Jen, how are you? My name is Ada, very nice to blog-meet you. I found your blog through http://taleof2teachers.blogspot.com/ today and I am scrolling through it and I love it. I, too am pregnant and am expecting my first bundle of joy (a little girl) in about 7-8 weeks. I am glad to discover another young mom, especially another stylish pregnant woman.
Your house looks beautiful decorated for Christmas and it looks like you are ready for baby #2. Is it a boy or a girl? Also your daughter is adorable, what a cutie!!
I would love for you to stop by my blog, check it out and follow me. I do appreciate it.
Have a Fantastic Week and take it easy these last few days, Ada. =)
love the chalkboard-possible days till baby. supercute!
Love the pictures. I looks like your month is running as smoothly as it can. I also feel you on how doctors prescribe things that there is no way to do with a mini running around.
Love the “possible” days til baby! Hehe! Good luck with the bp!
Rowan really looks like Kev in the photo of you two reading! And I just noticed it’s a Berenstain Bears book (I think); I loved those as a kid!
Aww, sweet pictures! I hope everything goes well for you, Jen. Rest, rest, rest, and don’t worry about the tv! A few days of tv won’t harm anything 😛
I feel you, I was on bed rest with my two year old, too. We had lots of help, but there were definitely times where I just had to plop her in front of the TV, which we normally don’t do. Even now, she watched a bit more than she used to when I need to rest from taking care of the two of them! Good luck! It will go fast with all that toddler energy running around 🙂
You’re due so soon! Congrats, and I hope bed-rest isn’t making you too stir crazy. I’m biased, but I think this is a wonderful time of year to have a baby (I’m due with my first in three weeks!)! Hope all goes well!
this post just really spoke to me and I can’t even explain how. thank you for sharing glimpses into everyday life. I think we all need a chance to slow down every so often.
Hope all goes well with the final weeks of your pregnancy! Sending best wishes as you await the exciting arrival of another baby girl 🙂
you are getting so close! wow. what a blessing your family is. good luck with the home birth!
p.s. where did you get rowan’s black gingham shirt? i love it!
That first photo. Ah, so sweet! And yes, it sounds like you have so much to be thankful for Jen. I’ve find your family to be such an inspiration. 🙂 And best of luck with the bed rest too, can’t imagine that’s easy… but, hang in there almost done! xo V
Awww, sorry about the bed rest. Lovely pictures! Such a beautiful Christmas tree!
Aw man I can not imagine!
Hope your bp stays down. Hope that Rowan stays content.
what a cute idea with the baby count down! So sorry about the bed rest – hope you’re feeling better in a jiffy!
I was a La Leche League leader for many years. One of our Moms introduced us to this diet which helped her (a tiny woman!!) deliver lovely big twins on their due date.
Best wishes in the month to come!
so sweet. love the little clothes for your wee one. can’t wait to “meet” her!
We’ve been using a lot of Elmo to keep my daughter occupied during a kitchen renovation, and I feel bad about it, and then think “it’s only going to get worse in April when I’m nursing full time!”
Nice to see that you limit the amount of tv she watches. My brothers boy will be 4 years old by the time Christmas comes and he will have too many toys. Rowan must know how to keep a clean house, or Kev must help. You are a wonderful rolemodel as parents. Your next child will be blessed.
