After wearing this outfit for most of the day today, I have decided it is like wearing glorified pjs. haha. This dress/tunic is loose, flowy and comfortable and who’d have thought leather pants could ever be in the same sentence as pajamas. I like it. I like comfortable outfits. Kev always jokes that my motto is “fancy but not.” I look like I might be fancy, but in reality I am not. Ha!
I got asked the other day how I would describe my style. It took me a while to think of what to say. I feel like I border back and forth between 2 styles. On one hand, I love feminine, vintage inspired looks with a little bit of a trendy twist, and then on the other I am stuck as a 18 year old scenester that will always love denim, leather, anything black, and studs.
How would you describe your style?

love the colors on that tunic! i would have to say my style is definitely eclectic or identity crisis like π it’s little boho, hippie, hipster, classic… depends on the mood
At the moment my style is anything that still fits my 8 month preg belly plus long necklaces (I am getting my use out of all my favourites before little fingers stop me wearing them)
I would describe my style as feminine with an edge. It’s so easy to get lost with the the rest of the suits near the Capitol so I try to dress atypical from the rest, whether it’s adding a bright skirt or tights. When I was campaigning in Virginia, I was in the richest county in the US, and my colleagues always teased me that I was the hipster version of Mona Lisa Vito (from My Cousin Vinny) of Loudoun County. I love the top, it’s definitely cheery on this windy day!
That dress is pretty much amazing.
Such a cute, colorful tunic dress! I agree, it is kind of hard to define your own style… I sometimes like to experiment with styles even though I mostly like sweet, feminine vintage type looks. Some grunge isn’t a bad thing, though… I mean, what would I do without my dr. martens?
When I grow up…I want to be as cool as you! I LOVE this look, seriously awesome.
You look super cute!! I love the whole outfit. I’m not really sure what my style would be. I’m a big texture person….I can’t wear clothes that aren’t really soft. LOL I’m weird. I love black and studs too…sometimes I’m more girly tho too. I’m all over the place! lol

I’d like to think of my style as “whatever Target has on sale”!
I’m in love with this outfit! I’ve always had a thing for orange and pink together…and it’s made that much better with your leather pants. I might just have to steal this idea π

Those pants are fantastic!!! I just love this outfit. It’s definitely fancy with a laid back vibe to it.
When I think of your definitive style, bold color pops to mind. You are really good at wearing vivid hues.
Even though the colors are super bright the colors work seamlessly. Ha, if I wore something that felt like PJs I’d seriously fall asleep. Happy Monday.
This is such a chic, gorgeous collision of your two styles! The tunic is girly, but your leather and black accents tough it up!! I love it. I would say I am in the same boat, but add faux fur to the list of leather and studs π You look amazing Jen!
Absolutely love that dress Jenn, and love that you’ve paired it with pants during the winter.

I LOVE that you styled the tunic with your leather skinnies – such a beautiful look!! Plus the colours are absolutely heavenly. And, I too am all about comfy but chic looks, and you’ve captured that so perfectly with this ensemble. Hope your week is fab, girly. xo veronika

I love the contrast of the outfit. Not to mention the pop of color on top. I guess my style is vintage with a twist usually involving modern jewelry or shoes. I love color too! Lots of different patterns and prints can be found in the my closet. I follow you on twitter! Have a great day! Holly aka Littlest
I was just looking at this same top the other day on ModCloth! Great pick, Jen! It’s extremely flattering on you- makes you look so slim and tall π
“Glorified pajamas” I laughed haha! I think it is very beautiful!
I love that tunic, the colours are so vibrant and lovely.
