I wanted to start off this week by saying a big HUGE thank you to everyone that left a comment, wrote an email or sent a tweet last week about my simplify post. The encouragement was truly overwhelming (in a good way!) and made me love you guys even more than I already did. I wish I could personally write back to everyone, but I just wanted you to know I read each and every comment. Thank you!
I also just wanted to write a little something to clarify some things. After getting an unhappy comment about my outfit post last week with a c/o item, I want to make sure we are all on the same page. In the simplify post, I wrote that over the next few months I would phase out sponsored ads. I still have a few more commitments to companies that I teamed up with before I made that decision. I didn’t say, however, I would have no more c/o items. I said I would no longer seek out sponsors for Jenloveskev and wouldn’t have anymore ads on my site. I wrote that from time to time I would thoughtfully continue to work with some companies that I support 100%. Will there be c/o items in every post still? No. One might pop up every once in a while, it will not be like it has been in the past. Things will be carefully and selectively chosen if they show up.
Ok. On to todays outfit. I am turning into a hoarder of ankle boots with small and comfortable heels. Don’t tell, but I may have these boots in brown and grey. In the winter I refuse to wear shoes that won’t keep my feet warm. There are so many fashionable boots out there. Let’s all make a pact to stay away from uggs, ok?

Oh man. Thats another cute outfit. You’ve really got good style. I love those boots. I have quite the collection myself, they just look good with everything.

Wow. So cute.
Honest comment: Sometimes I get irritated at fashion bloggers who have 4-5 c/o items in an outfit – but I know why that is and I think its fair. Fashion blogging is a new and exciting platform for companies and bloggers alike.
I used to blog though (just for fun) and that was a lot of work without any following at all. Point being I think, for all the lovely work you do at Jenloveskev, you are entitled to c/o items. I get fabulous free content regularly – you deserve something in return for that time.
And I have never been able to feel comfortable in ankle boots. Tips?
this looks super cute AND comfy. perfect combo π
You look so fresh in this pics, love earth & neutral colors how they look in an outfit and you’re rocking this one.
Very cute casual look.

I can imagine trying to manage sponsors must be like trying to manage elements of a small business. When your blogging as a hobby/outlet who needs that extra stress! I think c/o items are a different as you have a business arrangement with a company, which can easily be worked into your daily routine & then blogged about. Of course, I’m no expert but that’s how I see it working & that seems so much simplier. Yeah for you for making things simplier for yourself!

pretty inside and out, love u! xo
Oh yay Jen – I’m so glad that you’re feeling “the love” regarding your decision, and to be honest since you’ve announced it… I’ve been feeling mighty inspired, and viewing my own blog differently & the “business of blogging” in general- so thank you for being so inspiring, lady!! It’s always a great feeling to be able to return to the heart! π And last but not least, I’m loving this outfit!! The boots are so gorgeous, + I adore that it’s pulled together but yet perfectly cozy too, those are the best outfits! xo V
Your decision struck a chord with me as well!! I just think it’s wonderful that you put it all out there like that. I can’t wait to see what other directions you blog takes!!
i’m in love with this outfit. you are so good at putting beautiful and unexpected colors together. i would probably roll up the cuff of the jeans a little bit above the boot and have some patterned socks peeking out!
Cute sweater! And those boots look so comfy and versatile that are worth having in two colors!

I love the Jean Leggings:)
And if it helps you feel better… I’ve followed your blog for about a year and a half now and I never even noticed the c/o’s!!! I guess I didn’t really look for them:)
I love your blog π
haha! no uggs π
i’m a big fan of booties also ans even more with a short comfy heel!
I love this look, Jen! The cardigan looks so comfy + cozy!
I just starting fashion blogging (some of it inspired by your blog!) — and I always have my own handmade clothing items with an outfit that I go out of my way to find was made in America (very tough going as it negates most big box stores — lol).
I wouldn’t want to be doing it full time, though (too creative for that!).
I also admire your “will not sell out attitude” too! Perhaps better opportunities will come of it in the end.
I agree with Julia, the second comment, I think with all the had work and effort you put into your blog you are entitled to use c/o items. Also, you may not notice this, but you have probably shaped the lives of so many women and girls. It’s hard seeing super skinny girls in mini skirt, camisoles, bikinis, etc. You, and a bunch of others that I follow, are real people. You share where your inspiration comes from. You have healthy, normal bodies. It’s why I unsubscribed from a number of magazines I used to get and follow blogs instead. It’s more personal π
oh those boots are just perfection!!!! π

right on w/ the ugg boots! ha!
that sweater look SO soft and comfortable and i love the delicate color. great casual look!
I honestly didn’t even know the “c / O ” termΓ’β¬Β¦:) But I think I get it nowΓ’β¬Β¦Haha!
Obviously you just need to do what sets right with you, and that’s all that matters. Way to follow your heart is what I say!
And so sorry, I love my Uggs, even here in Hawaii (I actually don’t think I’d wear them except with shorts!) But I’m also NOT a fashion blogger (haha, for good reason maybe!)
You look darling, and I really think you’ll grow your bangs out this time!
aloha!
I love those boots! Ankle boots are also my new favorite and I have been “investing” in some new ones over the past few weeks! You look great, and so cosy!
super cute look. I can’t get over how perfect your bow is!
Oh common, Uggs are essential when you live in a small borough in Toronto, Canada π
I love that you are saying no to Uggs! π There are so many other warm options out there.
Looking gorgeous as always! You are just so super sweet thats why we all love you! =)
I agree with Julia too.
And no matter what decisions you take, you know what’s best for you and your blog.
Even if i have to confess that i do love Uggs π

I just wanted to say that your blog has been a lot more than style since ever- and I loved the idea of the infograph you and Kevin made that I cannot wait to try it out!
I love your commitment to shoes that keep your feet warm. Yes, please! I also love your color palette in this look. Unassuming but delightful. I’m looking forward to checking out more of your blog. Keep up the great work!
I must say, you tied that belt on the wrap sweater so perfectly! I love it! π
I’m getting all caught up on the blogs I follow right now, and just saw how you wore the wilma necklace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it, can’t believe I missed it last week! It looks great!
I also love the muted earth colors in your outfit. The boots are a great finish, too! π
I love that sweater! You look great!
