I think my favorite kind of outfit is a comfortable skirt, colored tights and some sort of button up or blouse. When I wear this combination I feel the most like myself. It is easy and comfortable enough to go about my day with Rowan but I still feel like I look nice. I am not going to lie, J.Crew makes that really easy. Some days are just J.Crew days…
I wore this outfit last week when Rowan and I headed out to Saratoga to go to the Children’s Museum. We also got to eat at my favorite Crepe place with Rachel and Addy! Lately, I have been trying to fill our days with little excursions. Rowan gets really bored at home if we are here all day. We got to bring her to the Eric Carle Museum over the weekend and she loved it. What a great museum!

These photos are fantastic! And you look beautiful. I love the colors in this outfit, they just go together so well. Glad you and Rowan got to have some fun π
how fun! it is essential to get out of the house and its so fun that i know of the places you talk about! you should try the childrens museum and the hyde museum in down town glens falls. awesome places to take little kids. a lot of the schools this way go once a week to show the kids all the new exhibits so there is always tons of kids and lots of action!

Cute outfit- I love purple tights but I feel like they look horrible on me.
The DV loafers you linked to are on sale at Gilt today (plus cute leopard ones!) : )
i totally agree about the excursion thing. My Tess (19 months) drives me bonkers if I try to just “hang out” at the house all day. She gets frustrated with all of her toys and frustrated with life it seems. The most minor of errands seems to make all the difference for us both.
this really truly does look like the perfect outfit, lots of color and super comfy yet super stylish!! lovely photos!

Aw, beautiful as always Jen, and I’m loving all of those pretty leaves!! Yay, fall! And goodness, I’m with you – I so live in my dresses/skirts, it’s the best! Enjoy your week lovely lady. xo veronika
I hope I’m as put together and chic as you when I’m a mother. Such a great outfit, I do love that shirt, I should invest in a few more button ups!
Very cute outfit. I have to admit, when I last knew J Crew over 10 yrs ago as a teenager shopping the outlet shops in the states with my parents, the brand seemed a little preppy stiff at that time and never drew my attention. They have come a long way in style and I guess I have too! π
i really love your blog
Fall is the most lovely time of the year to take outfit photos. I’m loving blogs so much with all the trees and leaves in the background! Your outfit totally matches the season too!
