I got up this morning and for the first time in a long time wasn’t really sure what to blog about. I have some outfit posts saved up, but didn’t feel like posting them. I have pictures for Rowan’s 11 month post and I have some posts about birthday wishlists for Rowan and I, but I didn’t feel like posting those yet either. So, instead I am just going to share this cute picture of Rowan with you! Kev took it in her room about a month or so ago. She has been walking for about a month now and yesterday was the first time she stood up on her own to start walking. She has always crawled over to something to pull herself up and then walked around. As we watched her stand up on her own yesterday at the park I realized: is this one of the last big milestones before things slow way down? As excited as I was for her I was also super sad. She is getting so big! Her birthday is less than a month away! Oh man what a year this has been.
Well, happy Wednesday everyone! We are off to a lovely lunch date with some of our lady friends. See you tomorrow!
Enjoy your day Jen! I’m loving this gorgeous photo of Rowan, your man is such a fantastic photographer. xo veronika
It’s so interesting how every baby is different. My best friend has the first baby of our friends, and she is so freaking cute. But her journey into the walking world is so different than your adorable baby’s. She figured out how to stand up on her own first but can’t get those stubborn little feet to do what she wants! Two little steps, PLOP, giggle.
Almost makes me want one of my own….
What a beautiful photo! Can’t wait to see more of the nursery.
This photo is adorable : ) I hope you all three are doing well.
Aw! Don’t be sad, there will be a lot more milestones, just not the ones everyone talks about with toddlers π
I love the photo! Rowan looks so cute (as always) but I especially like the room itself or what is visible in the picture. I can’t wait for photos of her room! Also, I can’t believe it’s been almost a year! I’ve been following your blog for so long now and it’s so nice to see all the good things going on in your life π
adorable! love that big fluffy rug.
a year sure does fly by…enjoy every moment!
Don’t worry–the milestones keep coming and coming. What an adorable munchkin–and room!
Jen, When are you going to share photos of Rowan’s room? My husband and I are expecting our first in feb. and I’m looking for nursery inspiration. π
Awesome picture.
And no, don’t worry–there are SO many more milestones that you don’t think about until you spot themΓ’β¬Β¦Now (14 months,) every time Levi walks in the room he says “Hi” in a very sing-songy way. Adorable. And of course there is tooth after tooth (NOT my favorite milestones :))
It just gets better and better. Then you have more! Hehe.
ALoha!
She is getting big!!! It’s so exciting to see your little one grow though. Great picture π
What an adorable little corner in her room!
Go Rowan Go!!!
It is so bittersweet, isn’t it?
Please, please, I just have to know…where is that table and chairs from?

I love the photo and her sweet room. What I appreciate is that her room is so grown up. We tried to make McKinley’s room an extension of our house. Still sweet and perfect for baby, but doesn’t scream nursery!
What an adorable and refreshing picture of dear sweet little Rowan. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! She is such a cutie! π Thanks for sharing! Keep making sweet memories!
Best,
Danielle

such a darling picture! i’ve lurked around here for a while and thought i’d say hi! never you worry about the milestones, they get better and better! she’s just layin’ the opening act out for you! love your blog!
Your child will NEVER cease to amaze you. The milestones might seem to slow down but you just have to pay attention, they maybe not be as obvious. You will still get to watch her explore and discover new things every day, learn how to talk and understand how to do different things. Every little task that she figures out is such a huge milestone. I am always amazed and feel so blessed when my kids figure out something new. What a sweet picture of her playing. Love you little Rowan! it goes too fast.
oh boy, the milestones keep coming. maybe not necessarily as obvious as during the first year, but you will constantly be amazed π i have a 26 month old and today she sung (as clear as day) “twinkle little star”. everyone in the room just stopped and gasped, because it came out of nowhere, but was so amazing!
awe, what a sweet post. I can totally relate. Our daughter is 10 months old this month and although she isn’t walking on her own yet, I know what you mean about the milestones! It is a crazy time, full of emotions that can take me by surprise. Happy that she isn’t floundering on the carpet like a beached whale anymore but sad that she is growing up so fast!
(I’ve been pinning birthday ideas on pinterest…)
ps: we have those blocks and luv them! and her room is so bright and crisp, great photo!
I love the table and chairs! Where did you get them? And what about those darling cushions?
