On Saturday morning I headed up into the Maine countryside to attend Julie’s bridal shower. It took me 6.5 hours from Albany, ugh! What a beautiful drive though! I drove through VT, NH and into Maine. It was a lovely low key bridal shower (my favorite kind!) with tons of food, cupcakes and fresh wild flowers.

I’ve been so excited to meet the rest of the bridal party, so it was nice to get to know everyone! They are all so much fun. I can.not.wait for the wedding!!! I have the most beautiful bridesmaid dress and am so excited to celebrate such a wonderful day with Julie and Chris!

  1. You used to have your ears gauged, right? How can you pull off normal earrings now? Mine always look so weirrrd and it makes me sad. There are so many adorable earrings out there.

  2. Looks like SO much fun! Girlfriends are the best ๐Ÿ™‚

I remember when you wore this skirt and were pregnant (with a lace top I think) and I adored it SO much! I was a new reader back then and it definitely stimulated my imagination and made a lasting impression.

    Have a great day dear!

  3. Haha, love your silly photos, SO cute! And the outfit is fantastic. Love the mix of patterns & those gorgeous shoes. xo

  4. Maybe I’ll give normal earrings another go…I’m just super self-conscious about it! I do buy some gorgeous gauged hanging designs from http://www.bodyartforms.com/ that I get comments on constantly. My high school kids think it so rad that my ears are stretched but I really try to get them to think twice about it. It definitely becomes a permanent part of your look.

  5. i like that that olive green color is what you pulled out of the skirt. it looks rad with the polka dotted top. and i love the bridesmaid glamour shots. ha. that’s what any bachelorette weekend should look like

  6. two polka dot shirts in a row, wow!! I am in love, what great pattern combo’s you look lovely!!

  12. I was wondering about the earrings too, did the holes close up (partially?)

  13. This has to be one of my favorite outfits I’ve ever seen you wear! I love the pattern mixing.

  14. I love the top and skirt combo….adorable!

  15. The top and that skirt go together perfectly! I love your top because I have a thing for polka-dots and ruffly tops! ๐Ÿ˜€ Also, all you girls were so well dressed! Great style!
