This is the dress I wore out and about on our anniversary. It is seriously so cute. I love the stripes with the peter pan collar. The back is really cool as well. I didn’t get a good picture to show you though. We walked around a lot that day. We walked through the Tulleries, around the St. Martin canal and locked a lock on the Pont de Arts bridge.

If you have ever been to Paris, you have probably seen the bridge with all the locks on it. It has become a tradition “for lovers” to buy a padlock, lock it on the bridge and then throw the key into the Seine. Kinda cheesy but also kinda fun. Since it was our anniversary, we decided to give it a go. There were 2 keys with the lock, so we each wrote a little something on the keys and then threw them into the water.
Oh I LOVE that dress! The details are really cute! And thanks for more ideas of fun little things to do in Paris. That is now on my must do list, very cute 🙂
Awww, love the lock. Such a great tradition.
wow, i have never heard of that bridge but it sounds darling! definitely something i would want to do if we ever make it over there. congrats on 5 years!
I love all those padlocks–so sweet!!
That is such a sweet tradition. How fun to say you put your lock on the fence on your anniversary! What a great vacation!
I love this outfit! That dress is killer and so are those shoes. Congrats on your anniversary : ) !! How special to have spent it in Paris together.
i’ve always wanted to do the lock thing. how romantic! and i love your bow 🙂
first of all, that hairbow is off the charts adorable. second: i am loving all your Paris photos. it’s the one place i’ve wanted to go since i was a little kid and i haven’t made it there. . . yet. 🙂 it’s so sweet that you were able to celebrate your fifth anniversary there together.
That’s so sweet! I’ve seen similar locks in Germany, I wonder if they have this in the US?
so sweet 🙂 i am in love with your dress. you looked absolutely beautiful on your anniversary! and i know that rowan will love hearing all about your romantic vacation to paris when she’s older. those cheesy little things will really mean a lot to her one day and help her to grasp how much her mommy and daddy love each other. and that’s the best gift to give your daughter.
I never knew about the locks! That is so romantic – must go there with my husband someday!!
So cute!! Jen, I just have to ask if those Forever XXI wedges were walkable in Paris? I loove my heels and wedges, but I’m going to London and Vienna in a few weeks and debating whether to take any heels or just flat sandals? As much as I love my heels, I also know all about blisters… 😮
That dress is awesome! I love the stripes and peter pan collar. Happy anniversary!
Awww the lock thing! Sure you’ll come back and see it again 😉 … your dress is beyond adorable!

The courtyard of the Louvre is one of my favorite spots in Paris, I love it there!
Btw did you find a nice place to have your anniversary dinner in Paris? A jazz club like you wanted?
That is one of the coolest things I’ve ever heard. One more reason to make it there someday…
That dress is so darling! I love the detail on top. And you are too cute with the bow in your hair.
That whole padlock thing is adorable. I definitely need to try and get back to Paris sometime!

The lock on the bridge, so lovely, love the cheese!!
This is my new favorite dress of yours! It is so amazing. And I can’t believe how inexpensive it is! I totally love the padlock thing, too! I had never heard of that before.
The locket tradition is pretty popular here in Italy as well. Apparently here it all started with an underground book (that was later published and became a movie) that used to circle around in high-schools. It’s called “tre metri sopra il cielo” and it’s a trubled love story.
