Wow. Sorry for the unexpected break there. I went home to my parents and the internet wasn’t working so no blogging for the last 2 days. Whoops.

It gave me a chance to work on some art projects though which was nice. I am doing all the decorations for Good Friday and Easter at our church so I have been busy, busy. Tonight I headed into Boston for another Swap, which of course our my favorite. Yes, we walk away with some free clothes but I love them so much because I get to hang out with all my favorite people. There was lots of dressing up in ridiculous outfits tonight. I am sure there are some funny pictures on their way.

I’ve been having fun lately mixing what I would consider fall colors with more bright and cheery spring colors. Like this burnt orange and bright coral. I scored this polka dot skirt in Austin at the Swap and loved it even more because Pamela brought it from Market Publique. Is it warm where you are? Winter is sure hanging on tightly. It is chilly!! Plus WINDY!!! Every time I go to take outfit pictures it is like a freakin’ tornado out there.

  4. Haha, great pictures!
I’m wearing a coral top today too, it’s 27°C here… Wnter more or less went straight into summer, and I miss spring. I’m not ready for summer yet, I need the time to get my legs a bit of colour or people will contract snow blindness when I walk by.

  5. This outfit is really, really cute! The skirt is precious and you styled it perfectly!! Worth a two day wait!! Have a blessed and joyful Easter!!

  6. I LOVE this whole outfit – especially that skirt, what a score! And I love that you posted your blooper pic – totally adorable hun

  7. Winter is hanging on way too long! It is frosty and 23 in NH this morning … I made the mistake of taking out all my spring clothes, sandals, etc. and now they are just sitting in my closet, tormenting me! I haven’t gotten up the courage to wear socks with sandals yet, but they are so cute on you – and I want to wear mine so bad – I may try it this weekend!

  8. Your full skirt is co great and I love the way it blows in the wind!
    Cheers,

  9. I love polka dots. In fact, I basically wore the same outfit yesterday on my blog. Great minds think alike! If it’s not too personal of a question, what kind of church do you go to? I’m a Christian, so Easter is one of my favorite times of year. Happy Good Friday! He is Risen! Hope you have a blessed weekend friend.

  10. Excuse me! Pleats AND Dots!!!??? Yes please!!! 🙂

  12. ah, the wind has been KILLING my pictures lately! How is it that models always look so perfect and windblown, but my hair spins around my head like it’s possessed?

Is that caridgan a recent target purchase? I’ve been looking for a cardi in the color for a while and can’t find the *perfect* one anywhere!

  13. i LOVE this outfit! i had no idea that i would like the burnt orange and coral combo.

  24. girl, you have been killing it lately! each outfit is better than the next. so much inspiration!

  25. love the rust color with the coral. i’ve been interested in more subdued colors with brights too! they make for a beautiful combo. have a great weekend!

  26. Do you ever feel overdressed? Like the only girl in the waiting room at the doctor’s office or the girl pushing the cart down the isle at Target wearing a skirt and platforms? Do you ever get stares? The reason I ask is because I want to be the skirt and platform girl but I am not sure how to summon my courage, do you have any advice on how to just be the girl you wanna be? Like do you have any mantras when you feel iffy or any go to responses when you get a prolonged eye to eye stare?

  27. Those polka dots are so great! Hope you get some great stuff at the swap – I definitely need to make my way to one!

  28. love the combination of colors here- Im so inspired to try out this color palette!! I live in FL so its already hot hot hot here… windy days sound pretty good right now.

  29. Oh, what perfect color combination! I am really drifting towards coral and orange lately as well…and your polka dot skirt is incredible joining in. I also love the shoes…I just found out that I am carrying twins (love!) but I still want to try to make this a summer of heels. I have been trying to gather maternity clothes, and would love your recommendations. What are some basics that you found were perfect in your second and third trimester? Any tricks? I had started to make a list, but stopped after the first entry: a pair of red, patent leather flats 🙂 I know I will need much more…

  30. I really, really love this outfit, those photos, that skirt… everything! not to mention I have totally had the wind incident taking outfit photos as well!!

  33. I absolutely LOVE this outfit !!!! And the last picture is hilarious!
Happy Easter weekend to you and your family Jen!

  34. I LOVE how you paired the navy and coral! The skirt looks fabulous on you, so glad you scored it!
