I was totally psyched the other day when I found this vintage Pendleton plaid blazer at Savers. Score. I love finding treasures. When I put this whole outfit together I was feeling sort of school girl, so a handful of books seemed appropriate for the picture. Why are props so fun?
I have a lot of fun putting together outfits from start to finish. What tights, what jewelry, etc… so I decided to make a video about this outfit. I will be posting it in about an hour. Make sure you check back to watch and to hear my baby voice.

p.s. Want to know what books are in my hands? Night by Elie Wiesel and Teach Yourself Post Moderism by Glenn Ward. haha I have shelves and shelves of art history books. I am super nerdy.
You’re such an inspiration of ways to wear color! Love that bag.

I can’t wait to see the video! What a great idea!
You are adorable!
Those shoes are great! I always have a hard time finding shoes that aren’t tall boots to wear with skirts and this looks awesome.
This is such a cute outfit!! I can’t wait to see the video!
I love that you listed the books! Seriously, after commenting (in my head) about how adorable your outfit is I thought, “But, more importantly, what books are those?” Major nerd here, too (American lit PhD student).
Oh my goodness, that fourth picture is absolutely adorable. I love the over-sized glasses and I am loving the matching tights + skirt combo, just lovely! Great score on the blazer too. xx veronika
Love this outfit! I could see the shoes and blazer working with a lot of different bottoms and color combinations.
I love this! Seriously those shoes are so cute! And the colours are great! So glad you found that blazer! Such a great buy!
You can never go wrong with navy tights! Great look.
I love the tiny cropped fit of the blazer and the way the tights match the skirt!
Your glasses are freakin’ adorable!!!!
Do you miss teaching? I wish you were my art teacher in high school – you’re so inspiring, intelligent, witty and fashionable 🙂

I’m so glad to hear that I’m not the only one who kept all my art history books from college! I have a bookshelf entirely devoted to them. When I was unpacking them all recently I started feeling a little awkward about it since my husband only had one college text book to join the mix haha normal people keep their text books right!?!
you look so super-cute.
and i loved “night.” need to read it again. it’s been 11 years since freshman english!
I’m reading your posts backwards, I already watched the vlog, and it’s great seeing the end result! Love the school-girl vibe and the color palette. You’re adorable.
Love this! the tights are super cute, and I love your hair!

You do have a baby voice! I was so surprised. I hear that I have one, too. Haha. What can you do?
I might have silly questions about your glasses, Were they’re prescription glasses? were they wayfarer?
