This week starts the next phase of training. The runs during the week get a little longer and we reach 10 miles on the long run. There is no looking back from here. I am excited. I am pumped. I feel stronger than ever. I owe so much of that to my dear friends Carrie and Erin. They are my running buddies. I run every run with them. My last marathon I trained by myself and I liked it. It was empowering, but this time I feel like I needed the support. These ladies are truly amazing. They make me look forward to running. We are doing this together to help raise money for Love 146. We are unstoppable.
Look how cute they are on our snowy 8 mile run last Saturday.
I have gotten emails about what I eat as a vegetarian and about eating for running. Here are a few things that I eat the morning of runs. I try to eat simple foods that don’t hurt my stomach at all. It could be different for every person but this is what keeps me full and fueled with energy.
Toast with peanut butter. Morning Star Maple Favored Sausage. Pineapple Chobani Yogurt.
Lots of protein!
