I just realized that it is almost February. That is just crazy! I am kind of excited though because I am totally over winter. It is really hard being a stay at home mom during the winter. It feels like you are trapped. Like today I think it is minus degrees out. I wish so badly I could go for a walk with Rowan.
I wore this outfit on Friday. I got this skirt and my boots at previous swaps but they are some of my all time favorite swap items. I wore this skirt in one of my favorite pregnancy style files as well. When I put on this outfit it made me really miss teaching. I loved getting up and dressing for work. This would have been a perfect teacher outfit I think.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling trapped. My daughter is 2 months old and my poor dog can’t understand why we are not going on walks whenever she wants.
Jen,
First off, I LOVE this outfit! It looks so springy but definitely works for winter. I also couldn’t agree more about being excited for spring! It’s so scary how quickly time is flying. Before you know it, March will be here and the weather will start to warm up! Great post.
I love this outfit. I am a teacher and I would definitely wear this to work. I live in Michigan and am SICK of winter as well:)
love the boots 🙂
i love the skirt! totally brightens up a dreary winter day.
I was going to say that I remember this skirt from a previous post and I love it! I also got a great pair of boots at a previous swap that I’ve pretty much been living in this winter. They could not be more perfect. Yours are so great too.
I think lots of people are feeling the same about being done with winter. As long as it’s still here, I’d love more snow.. but I’d love it even more if the cold weather could just hurry right along!
yay! That was my skirt!
definite springy vibe…even with all the snow.
Love, Love, love those read boots!!
Love this outfit! The light blue button up is unexpected, but perfect. And the print and cut of that skirt are both fantastic!
Oh my goodness. I am loving this outfit Jenn. It is fantastic …loving the colour of the boots + tights together and that skirt IS gorg. Hope you get to go for a fab stroll soon. It has been far too cold lately. xo veronika
I would absolutely wear this outfit to teach in. In fact I may have to riff off of it this week. With the 30 for 30 about to start up I’m trying to figure out which pieces I really need in a pre-game this week.
I cannot cannot cannot believe those boots were swapped! They’re gorg…just like the rest of the outfit. Such wonderful colors.
Are there pockets on the sides of those boots? Awesome. Love the color palette here!
that skirt is fantastic! the combination of the warm hues of the skirt, tights, and boots contrast so well with the crispness of the shirt. it’s just so good!
I love the colors in this outfit!
GREAT boots paired with the skirt & leggings! You look very chic and very happy!!
Love it!
I love the skirt/tights combo. I love the colorful tights I’m just not brave enough to try it! You are really rocking it though!
The snow makes me feel chilly but the skirt makes me dream of spring. Very cute!
This is your BEST OUTFIT TO DATE! I’ve never commented before but wanted to tell you that you look great.
This skirt reminds me of a vintage dress of my mom’s that I just acquired! I’m excited to style it now!
Love the colours of this outfit!!!! It’s perfectly cheery to counter this freeze we got going on… Are those vintage boots leather? they are beauties…
I love those boots! You look really nice in that outfit, the colour scheme really suits you.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit!!! Those boots are amazing and I love deep purple in the winter and those tights rock! 🙂
I LOVE this outfit! That skirt was one of my favorites from your pregnancy style files too.
Also, I can not believe someone swapped those boots. They are AMAZING.
