There is nothing better than a beautiful day and a bike ride. Kev and me decided to by bikes for each other last year for our anniversary and it was the best decision we made. I love our bikes. I also love the Canadian sticker I put on mine. I may be taking my citizen test next week but I am still Canadian at heart. (eek which reminds me I better start studying that giant book they give you of history questions, I feel like I am in school all over again)

I think the number one thing I have been in love with so far this spring has been light weight cardigans. I go thru phases a lot where I wear something a lot and then don’t for a little while and then come back to them at a later date. I use to wear a lot of cardigans thru the winter. This was not one of those winters but, since I have become pregnant and especially now with nothing that buttons really fitting or that isn’t cotton or lose, I have turned my attention back to cardigans. I have been on a major look out for beautiful styles and spring colors. Let me just say that this one from Modcloth hits the nail on the head. It is the perfect length and weight and it is not one of those ones that stretches out after one wear and then looks all funny. Its got a little stretch to it so it fits perfect!!! and the color! It’s the most beautiful peach color. I have worn it like 20 times since I got it last week. I think its one of the best cardigans ever- I wish I could have one in every color.

Haha I am also including a picture letting you see my maternity shorts. hehe. See why they are so comfy!! Thats why all pants should be maternity style.

Also, have I mentioned my love for run skipping before? Its the fastest means of travel if you ask me and the most fun. hehe

  1. Love the combo of the animal print top with the peachy cardigan.

  2. I’m not even pregnant and I want those maternity shorts. Perfect for those so-called “fat” days. You look fantastic!! And in case you were stumped for baby names, here is my votes:

    Adelia (a-dale-ya) – for a girl
Kejen (kay-jen) – for a boy (a mix of your names)

    Have a great day!

Jen you are soooooo cute! You rock the preggo shorts perfectly! I love watching you progress and becoming a mommy πŸ™‚

  4. I love the cuffed shorts even if they are maternity shorts haha

I bet after that citizen test you’ll know more about the US than I do, a born citizen haha

  8. I love that peach cardigan! It’s beautiful with your skin, and so perfect for spring/summer. I think I need one πŸ™‚

  9. Your maternity shorts are AWESOME! And that cardigan is beautiful on you. You are glowing!

  10. You look so cute. I love how you paired the leopard print shirt with the peach cardigan (which is lushness)

  11. i hear you on the maternity waistbands…sooooo comfy!!! and believe it or not, i actually prefer the full panel (it minimizes my muffin top!!! lol).

  12. I got this cardigan last week too, and I haven’t been able to stop wearing it either!! You are too cute!

  13. Ah! Love that blouse and cardigan. You are too cute!

  14. good luck with your test!

For mine, they picked 10 of the questions from the booklet randomly (3 branches of gov’t, name of current senator of my state, who wrote the star spangled banner, and a few others i can’t remember.) I got the first 6 right, so they didn’t even ask me the other 4! What a let down!

    once a canuck, always a canuck πŸ™‚

  15. Love the color of that cardigan!

  20. Gorgeous! πŸ™‚ Love the cardi… and I wish they made all bottoms have that elastic waistband!

  21. I have a cardigan in that color too. It really is a great isn’t it? I love your pairing with the animal print and flats.

  22. this might be one of my absolute favorites πŸ™‚

  25. What a cute outfit! I love the pairing of the cardi w/the leopard print top–so sweet!

  26. Jen,

I’m loving your maternity shorts and how you manage to look so great in them (to the point you don’t look pregnant – in a complimentary sort of way!)

    Chic and fun. Love it.

  27. you’re adorable!!

  28. I adore this cardigan, it’s such a sweet colour πŸ™‚

  29. You look so comfy and cute here! It looks like the perfect casual bike riding outfit to me.

  30. I totally would never have guessed that those were maternity shorts!! SO cute! I love that you and Kev bought bikes…what a great gift and investment!

  31. Very cute outfit, the color of the cardigan is pretty and I love the maternity shorts!

  32. oh, these pictures are so fun and beautiful! And i like the outfit. I agree about the cardigans. I have tons, most are Lilly Pulitzer which come in some GREAT colors, so i have all kinds of bright ones.

  33. I’m in love with your photos! That bridge path looks amazing and a perfect way to welcome spring. I might be in the minority here, but I’ve never liked animal print before, but your pairing with the peach cardigan is quickly changing my mind! The color is perfect like you said and softens the animal print. I’ve always been a fan of the cardigan and one can never have too many :]

Take care and thanks for sharing such lovely photos with us!

I am 7 months pregnant and it just started to get hot where I am, and this post totally inspired me to turn some hideous maternity capris that were given to me into some pretty darn cute cutoffs. Thanks!
