So, remember last week when I mentioned my super fun new necklaces that I got from Modcloth? Well here is the other one!! It’s a Robot!!! I also seem to talk to myself or well to my robot a lot when I wear this one. When I was getting dressed, I guess I was making Robot noises because I heard Kev say “are you talking to your robot?” haha I didn’t even realize I was talking out loud. haha so funny!
Now, I know I wore this sequin shoulder shirt last week and I don’t like to repeat things so often but when I got dressed yesterday it just came together so easily and I was kinda running late so I hope you will forgive me! I love the black and white of the outfit and then the brightness of my neon tights!!
It’s spirit week at school this week and tomorrow is dress like a Teacher Day!! I have had a bunch of girls come in and tell me that they were going to dress like me. I can’t tell you how excited I am to come to school tomorrow and see them all dressed up. Yay! I am so excited. I think it will be so fun. I am definitely going to take some pictures, I am just figuring out how I can post it on here with out crossing any kind of lines. If you haven’t noticed yet, I never post any pictures of students or of school. I think that could get me in a lot of trouble. I just want to be respectful. We’ll see…

Jen, you could always photograph the students bodies, but not their faces. Make it about the outfits vs. the kids or something.
Love the robot!
That skirt looks great on you, dear!
I LOVE your fuschia tights… and we have a bright red vintage reproduction robot that looks just like your pendant! Apparently he winds up and shots sparks, but I’ve been too scared of an explosion to put batteries in him. His name is Chester.
Love the shirt!

I love this outfit, and that robot necklace is absolutely adorable!!
oh my word, i love that little guy. and i’m glad you kept that shirt (though i totally resonate with f21’s crap return policy). it’s way cute.
The robot is awesome! I covet it!
What about cropping out their heads or blurring out their faces? I understand your hesitation, though, for sure.
just blur their faces in photoshop…like people do with addresses.
As others have said, block out their faces. It is more than an issue of respect, it’s against the law to post pictures of minors without their (parents’) permission.
I love your robot necklace. Those are fun tights!
That necklace is so fun! You look great. I like the colored tights. Can’t wait to see how your students dress. That is such a cute thing, very flattering that they chose you.
Could you maybe photograph their outfits without their faces? So as not to break any confidentiality or privacy laws. I hope you can work it out because I’d love to see how your students rock your style!
Wow! I love that robot necklace! I have the same/very similar piece that used to be a watch. That’s so excellent!!!! It looks great as a necklace! Great blog, too.
Cheers 🙂
This is such a fun outfit! I can’t wait to see what your students wear to dress like you, that’ll be fun to see.
Eeee! Please find a way to show pictures of students dressed like you! That would be absolutely adorable!! Can’t wait to see/hear what they wear! So cute…
And, as always, you look beautiful!! 🙂 I really can’t get enough of black and white stripes, either…so classic and timeless.
I would also love to see pics of how your students interpret your style – good luck working it out!
Are you ‘dressing like a teacher’ too? 😛
I’d also really like to see pics of your classroom. Whenever I imagine you at work, it’s in a room that (strangely) is exactly the same as the one I took art in at high school.
I’d be super careful before posting student pics online. Especially if you’re making any sort of income on the site, I think you’d want them to sign releases. Then, since they’re minors, their parents would have to sign off on it too. It seems super official, but at the end of the day, you want to make sure you’re covered, and verbal agreements just are too easy to misconstrue.
Then again, you can always blot their faces out….it IS the outfits you’re wanting to showcase anyways, right?
It’s a bummer that everything comes to such legalities these days…especially since you clearly are just having fun running your site. But at the end of the day, I suppose it’s best for all involved.
Have fun at dress like a teacher day! And I love these photos. The bkgd is really cool and I love that robot necklace! How awesome that it’s a clock, too!
I was just on Modcloth the other day and I saw that necklace and wanted it! = ] It is soo cute.

Love the outfit!! How cool is dress like a Teacher day!! 🙂 I can’t wait till I start teaching, and we have something fun like that! I’m also in love with that necklace!
I’ve been following your blog for a couple of weeks now, and I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy it. I just started my own blog on Saturday, and my first outfit post is suprisingly similar to your look today. 🙂 Thank you for all of the inspiration!
The robot is so cute!
Love the necklace!!!
Yay robot necklace! I love this!!
those tights make this simple look pop! and the necklace is so fun … the 5 year old boy i babysat last night did the funniest robot impression last night!
That is SO cute that you have a bunch of girls aspiring to dress like you. What a compliment! I hope you figure out a way to show us their outfits. If not, just enjoy your doppelganger day! haha.
This outfit is adorable! I am not surprised at all that girls would want to come dressed like you, I do too haha 🙂 I think like others have said, you could take pictures of only their bodies. Random example (but a perfect one I think) is the Gossip Girl book covers. They always cute of right at the neck or waist or somewhere that didn’t show faces, it makes the focus def. on the clothes and also adds anonymity as well.
That necklace is fantastic! I love it!! What a great outfit to highlight it with too. Loving the skirt.
AND HE”S A WATCH, TOO!!? So so so cute. I really like those bright tights. They make me want spring even more.
I love the pop of color these tights bring – adorable!
Love the pop of color from the tights, and the robot is very cute!

that robot really is the cutest thing in the world! i would definitely talk to him too subconsciously if he were mine 🙂 i love how he can tell the time too! what a clever little thing 😛
loving the colored tights! I recently got an electric blue pair and I’m trying to figure out how to work them into the wardrobe – now I feel inspired!
on a side note, just wanted to mention that you said you weren’t going to get this top because you had one like it. now look how easily its incorporated into your wardrobe! I love it and I think you made the right choice in getting it!!
Such a cute necklace!!!
