One of my easy default outfits I throw on when I am running late to school is usually a pair of skinny jeans, a white shirt and a blazer. I have collected quite a few awesome blazers over the last year, they are always the first thing I look for when I head into a thrift store. I love wearing them with jeans for a laid back chic kinda look. This one is one of my favorites- it has rolled up sleeves with leopard print cuffs. Its super soft and very light weight.
What is your running late default outfit?

Blazer: TJ Maxx $20
White Blouse Tunic: H&M
Jeans: TJ Max $20
Flats: Steve Madden $40
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Studded Bracelet: Charlotte Russe
Love the outfit!! My running late default is jeans and a sweatshirt…*GASP*…I work in laid back enviroment so it works ok.
This outfit is gorgeous! So jealous, I definitely can’t look this great when I am running late. That blazer and it’s cuffed animal print sleeves is the BEST!!
I am always running late, so I don’t know if I have a default outfit… I think though, it would probably be my floral dress from Forever 21. It is so versatile so it works with pretty much anything. 🙂
That blazer is great and I love your necklace! I’d imagine my running late outfit would look a lot like this.. but maybe with a cardigan instead. I’l try a blazer next time though! It adds a lot!
My running late outfit is what I am wearing today! It’s a patterned dress (with pockets!), tights, and boots. The dress is loud enough, with its tiny tulip pattern, to wear with minimal accessories (which always takes me the longest to put together). Plus, the dress is a Marc Jacobs one I picked up at Buffalo Exchange, so I am still stylin’! I will post the outfit on my blog later today!
this is my outfit normally: black skinny jeans (more like denim leggings), a longer shirt (kinda like boyfriend, but still fitted), my blazer i wear pretty much everyday, and boots. a nice necklace and thats it. the shirt has to be a little longer because i want it to cover my bottom since i wear skinny jeans =)
or tights/leggings with boots and a lovely dress/shirt. slight variations!
My running late outfit is pretty much identical! I usually throw on some jeans, a boyfriend style blazer and a tee…
My running late outfit is a dress, tights/knee highs, and boots. I love this blazer!
I just adore that bracelet, lady. My running-late go-to is a sweater dress, leggings, and boots. And a scarf, if I remember it!
Blazers are the second place I run in thrift stores, right after dresses! Love the cuffs on the blazer! I guess my go-to running late outfit would be a dress, tights, and cardigan… so I don’t have to think too much!
A dress and tights…If I’m tired or sad then I wear leggings…both happen alot.
Ditto on your post! I love blazers too and its generally the first thing I hunt for at a vintage or thrift store.
I also usually throw on jeans when I’m rushing, but I’ll usually pair them with a t-shirt, funky boots of heels and my leather bomber jacket. Easy and brainless. Add my favorite Anthropologie scarf for color and I’m good to go!!
All black! Whenever I’m running late, I just throw on a black top with black pants, skirts, leggings, whatever’s clean! It always matches and looks so chic! I love the leopard print peeking out!
Your running late default is great! You look so put together, no one would ever know you didn’t plan it ahead of time 🙂
I don’t really have one myself… this morning I was actually running early and then it took me foreverrrrrr to decide what to wear. Those mornings are just the worst. My new mission is to figure out a default late outfit then!
My running-late work outfit is usually some black pants (I can’t wear jeans unless it’s Friday), a colored tank top, and a black cardigan. I love cardigans. I wear them open, buttoned, with one button, or with a belt. So versatile!
I don’t really have a go-to running late outfit, it’s usually a panicky rush, and then regret when Im on the train and realize what I put up.
I thought you (or Kev) might now: any suggestions on a good place to take a photography class or workshop in/near Boston? I’m tired of having crappy pictures! I plan to invest in a good camera with a remote control after taking a proper class.
This is such a cute outfit! Definitely looks like you spent more time putting it together.
Aha, the running late outfit! I must say, yours is much more fabulous than most!
I think mine would be jeans, boots, printed tee, cardigan, leather jacket go. 🙂
such a cute outfit, I love your hair accessory! – Natalya of Wear Necessities
That’s a great default outfit!
Well, I no longer have a default option, but mine used to be layered basic tees, a fun necklace/scarf and nice pants. No one was ever the wiser. I still got compliments, as I bet you do on this outfit.

It seems to me that you pretty much look good in everything! Love the blazer.
I don’t have one at the moment… but I run late all the time, and it gets even later while I’m digging desperately through my closet. In summer it’s way easier, then it’s just whichever dress I come across first. Winter is much harder for me, because I have to take temperature changes and rain/snow into account as well – all at 6:30 AM.
that blazer is awesome! so classy and the leopard print on the cuffs is like surprise chic!!
Great blazer! My running late outfit is tights, dress, cardi, and maybe a belt.
Definitely a fantastic look to throw on really easily. And the bow in your hair is the perfect touch. I wish my teachers had looked so stylish! Perhaps I would have paid more attention 🙂 My throw on outfit is probably pretty similar – jeans, flats, and a floaty top.
