Yay so there are only 2 more days of this work week! This week is always one of the worst weeks of the whole school year. It is so so long because we just had so much time off. I am so excited for the weekend. I am on the other hand feeling like 70% better than yesterday so that is great news!!
I love wearing my moto jacket as a cardigan like accessory in the winter. It keeps me double as warm in my freezing class room and it has more of a statement then a plain black sweater. It also keeps me super warm under my winter jacket. DOUBLE JACKETS!! haha. I really don’t like being cold, can you tell?
I found this dress in the clearance rack at target a couple months ago. I really love this little shift dress. Its got great colors in it (purples and orange) and I love that I can pair it with my purple tights.

Dress: Target $6.98
Moto Jacket: Forever 21 $3o
Tights: TJ Max (HUE) $6
Flats: Steve Madden $40

Gotta love a good pair of bright tights! The jacket adds just the perfect contrast to the girly dress.
I think this is one of my favorite outfits you’ve worn yet! Great color combo!
Also, are you planning to post a music playlist from your long work commute? You did a post on music a while back and I was wondering if you found any good tunes for a long drive.
That dress is AWESOME, this is one of my favorite outfits! Though I guess I’m biased since I love purple and orange. Glad you’re feeling better!
PS – HI KEV (Checking if you really do read all the comments)
Love this outfit—the feminine dress with the jacket. Necklaces look great, too!
how cute are you in those purple tights!
Glad you’re feeling better! Love the outfit. I love finding great deals on the Target clearance racks!
I love this! So bright and cheery for the dreary winter…
I love purple. You look great!
What a glorious print on that dress! And I adore it with the purple tights.
You look great! The purple tights are amazing.
I love this look! I love the nice colors with the moto jacket.

Can we go shopping together?! I love this dress!
the double jacket is a brilliant idea. i don’t like the cold either. it also makes me happy that you still wear tights in the winter, because i do the same (i don’t really like pants), and friends will tease me for not dressing appropriately.
i love your dress so much! it’s so fun!
also, i do have a question. since we can see the bottom half of your bed, i was wondering if you could tell me where you got it? i like the frame of it a lot!
its from ikea.
We were just there and its about half the price right now that we bought it at!
Its a wonderful bed we love it to death!!
LOVE the jacket with this gorgeous shift dress!!!
you look fabulous!!! i love the whole outfit!
AND oh my goodness – i LOOOOOOVE the ceilings in your new place! holy moly – they are amazing! (sorry i know this has nothing to do with your outfit – but i just had to say something!)
OoOoOo love the dress. I am more of a classic girl myself and probably would have paired it with a cardi, but I think your style is totally expressed here. Glad to hear you’re feeling better. This week can’t be over faster. Is there a new office on tonight?
I knew I had seen that dress somewhere before. I love the way you styled it! I’m glad that you’re feeling better!
I really like this outfit and I’m a big fan of purple!! So cute

Great outfit! You always find the best deals!
The colours of that dress are awesome, especially on you!
Just a note to let you know i’ve enjoyed you Q&As muchly…
you got such a great deal on that dress, and it’s gorgeous! i’m going to have to start digging through target racks.
and i love the combo of the moto jacket. yay for double jackets haha 🙂
I’m glad you’re feeling better.
This outfit is super duper cute, but you always are.
PS Thanks for the kind words on my blog about my 100th post 🙂
Loving the outfit today!
I can’t wait to see photos of your home – that hardwood floor is amazing. You have great taste in interiors! 🙂
I wear my leather as a cardigan too, but find it a bit hard to move around in!
That dress is SUCH a cute find!! And I love how it looks paired with the leather jacket!
I, too, rescued this dress from the clearance rack for about the same price. It was such a steal and I love the shape and length. (I’m only 5’1 so it hits me right above the knee.) I’ve been pairing it with my black leather moto jacket and maroon tights to match the subtle hint of maroon in the pattern, but after seeing you wear it with purple, I’m going to have to try that next. 🙂 Love the blog, btw!
i love the purple on purple! (and your post about being an art teacher was so sweet–what lucky students you have. and i loved seeing pictures of your classroom!)
LOVE this! I have a similar dress and you have totally re-inspired me to wear it! The leather jacket, Fantastic!!
Ooh I love this dress on you! I tried it on at Target and it didn’t really work on me, but was totally impressed by Target’s fall collection. Love the tights and jacket too!
AHH!!! I almost bought this dress like a month ago at Target! I fit me nicely but I was a little weird around my bust, so I left it there! But now seeing how adorable it looks with those purple tights (I also own a pair 😉 I should have bought it and just paired it with a nice cardigan or blazer as you have! Darn! Oh well! I love this outfit! Its simple and so colorful and special!
This is an adorable outfit! I love everything about it. I hate this week too. I’m incredibly exhausted and my students went from being practically comatose on Monday to out of control wild today. I can’t wait to get back into the swing of things again.
This is my favourite outfit yet!
i love the dress and the tights separately but I mostly love how you pulled them off together. looks great! just read your teacher q&a post. is your school really supportive? you sound pretty content which is awesome. my specific position is so exhausting and draining with very little reward and support so it is SO HARD to stay positive but it’s always so nice to read others’ positive experience and know that in the future i can be in a less stressful, more rewarding position. and i am so jealous of the 2 preps! (though, you need it with 5 preps of your own!) we DEFINITELY earn those summers off!
Yes! I totally have this dress too! I paired mine with a camel bow belt from Charlotte Russe and a long ruffle navy cardi. I have also rocked the colored tights. Check out my photo shoot with red ones: http://www.rocknrollbride.com and scroll down to the story called Smoking hot, red themed trash the dress in the snow.
I really love that jacket! And the colors of your dress/tights look so pretty together. Darling style.. I just can’t get enough of it!
I love your jacket paired with your dress…I love how a good leather jacket can help dress up or dress things down. Glad you’re feeling better btw.
That dress is so good, I can’t believe you got it that cheap. You can’t find such bargains here in Europe 🙁
I LOVE this outfit!
I love your jacket! I’ve been searching high and low for a great leather (or faux) moto jacket- seeing that you got yours at Forever 21 gives me hope. I really enjoy your blog, you’re a very real and down-to-earth girl, so relatable.
Cute dress! I love when I find good dresses marked down at Target.
I love this outfit! The colors in the dress are fantastic, and I love how you paired it with purple tights and a leather jacket.
Love the colors in this outfit! My purple tights are my favorite accessory this season I think! I saw this dress in Target as well, too bad they didn’t have my size! So cute :] Love the edginess of the jacket too!
I LOVE the bright pinks and purples in this outfit and how you mixed the harder elements (leather jacket, necklace) with softer (dress, tights)! – Natalya of Wear Necessities
Gorgeous colors, and I love the mix of feminine and edgy pieces!
ohh i’m jealous, you were purple so well! i could never wear it. you look lovely as always.
I love love love this look! The leather coat with that print… fabulous! 🙂
I love LOVE this jacket! This outfit is amazing.
I love this!! so chic and trendy! I’ll have to try this myself sometime. Thanks for the inspiration!
