So a few weeks ago I got an email from Marina asking about what she should wear to her boyfriends college graduation that was happening this winter. Her question was about wearing something causal compared to something dressy. I am all for dressing up so I suggested dressed up nice to show that person that you really think it is a special occasion. I have been eyeing these shoes on need supply and am absolutely in love with them. I want them so bad!! I am saving up for them because it is more than I usually can afford on a pair of shoes but boy do I love them!!!
I love this mix of sort of soft and girly with more of an edge look with the studded shoes and necklace! This outfit has a few more expensive pieces but you could find similar ones in your budget.
What do you think? Would you wear this to a winter graduation?
Dress: Need Supply $52
Cardigan: JCrew $178
Necklace: Forever 21 $9.80
Tights: Urban Outfitters $14
Shoes: Need Supply $153
This outfit could not be any cuter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gorgeous. I love the flower on the sweater, very SJP.
amazing outfit. those shoes are totally worth it!
aahhh! Love it! Jen….I am mad you showed me this cardigan!! I keep seeing it everywhere, which means 1 thing…it must be for ME!! It’s so pricey though!!
I definetely would…why not look adorable?!!!!!
It’s a great outfit for many occasions!
Sooo cute…absolutely love the shoes! The only thing I might change is to pick a cardigan in a richer/more vibrant color, but that is just what would work better for my skin tone. Otherwise…perfection!
My heart did a little skip on that cardigan…but of course it’s jcrew (so out of my budget). I think this outfit would work for any winter party/event really. Like you said, it’s the perfect mix of sweet and edgy. Although I’m not usually a fan of closed toe wedges (for myself). For some reason they make my feet look abnormally large.
Ahhhhh those shoes are stunning!
I need those shoes! What a great little outfit!
oooh I love it! the baby pink and gray is such a great color combo. I gotta keep that in mind!
and those wedges are AWESOME!
Need Supply is on my block! As in, I live RIGHT NEXT TO IT. I’ve been dying for those shoes, and the boots by the same designer. Thanks for dropping by my blog!
xx
hahaha, I am obsessed with those shoes from NeedSupply too!
That dress and Cardi are both great picks, too!
I think that outfit is perfect for a graduation! I wouldnt spend that much on a sweater, but I would find one similar for less $. Great post! – Natalya of Wear Necessities
I’ve always loved the mix of pink and grey. Such soft, chic colours. The added details really made this outfit. Love it!
That cardigan is fantastic! I would wear it for a winter graduation if I was attending as a guest for sure!
Adorable!
I adore the idea of the studded shoes with a ballet-pink cardigan!
Loving that cardigan!
I would be concerned about being in shoes that high to a graduation, but I love them and I would think my sweetie would totally dig it. It’s his special day anyway so I say make him happy. 🙂
Definitely would! Although with this crazy weather, I’d have to add a heavy overcoat! Thanks for the comment! I linked to you 😉 lizzypunch.blogspot.com
You are so right… those shoes are perfect. And I could have gotten too if Matt hadn’t just paid a $180 fine for running a red light. Crap.
The necklace and the dress! Wow. They just got added to my wish list. Thanks for your comment on my blog, too!
Ooh I love this outfit Jen! Those shoes are fabulous and add just the right amount of edginess. So great!
xoxo
Soft touch of the pink cardi is genius 🙂
i’m all about finding a reason to get especially dressy! great picks.
LOVE Need Supply. I think you could DIY the shoes – adding studs to wedges you already own?
