Happy Weekend!

Ok this was really funny. I was just starting to write this post about this necklace that Whitney had on her etsy shop and then I went over to her website to look for something and saw she had just posted about me.

I am so honored because I feel the same way about her!!! She always looks so effortlessly beautiful and I am totally jealous of the fact that she is going to one of the most amazing art schools and that she is a super talented photographer and seamstress. Seeing her start up her etsy shop has totally inspired me to get back into my craft room and make some new things and start creating goodies again!!

Go check out the rest of her beautiful creations in her etsy shop!!!
Isn’t this necklace so beautiful! I love it.

Anyways, the bell for the end of school has rung and its offically the weekend!! I am so happy to spend what I think will be the first fall feeling weekend with Kev. I think we are going to go apple picking and hang out at Lark Fest in Albany. I also have to run 18 miles! eeeek!! Next week I will be posting more about my marathon and some info about a charity that I am running for. I am really excited!!

This week I have been thinking alot about jenloveskev.com. What I think is working good and what I think is not. I would love to hear from you guys if you have any comments or things that you would like to see more of or less of, or what you think needs to be changed. I am totally open for ideas. I really would love to hear from you!! Good or bad (maybe just not mean-hehe) Here are my thoughts…

I love doing style files, over the weekend and last nights dinner posts but the others I am up in the air about. Do you guys like seeing the I’d wear that posts?. My house is pretty much set as far as decorating so I don’t do much “Around the House” posts anymore. What could I do on fridays? I am going to try to get better at posting my artwork and craft projects on thursdays so I would like to keep that as a motivation to myself but what are your thoughts. Please let me know…

Well have a wonderful weekend!

  1. I, for one, love the I’d wear that posts!

  2. More art! I love your work and I would love to see more of it. And the I’d Wear That, I think are great. Gives me ideas for places to look for cute clothes.

    Enjoy your weekend!

  3. I like the I’d wear that posts too. I would love to see more of your art though!!
Have fun apple picking! That sounds like so much fun!

  4. I really enjoy your style files and I love the tops you find! You have such great style, but it looks like you don’t sacrifice comfort either, which is something I take into high consideration whenever I go shopping – will I be comfortable in this outfit all day long? Or will I want to rip it off and breathe a sigh of relief as soon as I get home? Usually the deal breaker for me 🙂

  5. You could post some of the work your students are doing…

  6. I like the “I’d wear that” posts, but if you didn’t feel like doing that one day maybe you could highlight someone’s etsy shop whose stuff you like. Or just anything else that inspires you!

  7. I just checked out your site via Whitney Deal. I’m a teacher too, and I love to check out creative teacher clothes. However, it was really funny to see you mention Larkfest, I was thinking of going to that too this weekend…so funny to see someone who lives nearby when you’re online…

  8. I am glad to hear everyone likes the I’d Wear that posts because I like doing them!! Billy I cant post students work- I think that could get me in trouble, or I would at least have to get permission and I don’t particularly want any of the kids knowing I have a blog.

  9. I agree, I would love to see more of your art! You could always do a free-for-all Friday and make it a random whatevers-on-your-mind sort of thing!

  10. I love this whole site, including your recipe posts! I’m vegetarian, too, and I’m always on the lookout for tasty recipes. When I first started reading your blog, I didn’t realize you had occasional recipe posts, but what fortune for me to find your asparagus pistaccio pesto post–it’s become a favorite and frequent recipe of mine. So thank you!

The blog is beautifully and thoughtfully designed, as are all of your posts. I don’t think you need to take away anything!

  11. such a beautiful necklace! I personally love seeing your “I’d Wear that posts” I like seeing how someone else styles things!

  12. I would like to see more of your creative side ~ you have a great one!

  13. I too would love to see more of your artwork! And I always love it when bloggers post tutorials and DIY stuff, so more of that would be great.

  14. I LOVE I Wear That posts… please don’t stop them!! They help me in my own shopping endeavors. =)

Also, I agree… I would love to see some of your artwork… that would be amazing!!

P.S. I love your dinner posts too… they always look so yummy. Everytime you post them, i want to run right home and cook what you guys had.

    Have a great weekend!

  15. I personally like it when you post yummy recipes…( we are vegetarians too!) , and I also would love to see more of your art. Your teacher style files are an inspiration to me, (someone with very little style) to vamp up my “mommy” wardrobe. 🙂

  16. I love seeing all of the creative DIY fashion projects you create and would love to see some tutorials for those of us who are more craft challenged.

  17. I really love the balance of things you have now.
Lots of outfits with a little taste of other things!

  18. I like what you do. Maybe around the house will come back when you get a new house? I love your title but maybe you could update it so you have a new look?
Maybe showcase more of your work and Kev’s photography?
    Just some ideas.

  19. amy your sister •

i think your husband should let you dress him on fridays and do his style file Male Edition. WORK IT KEV

  20. haha amy that idea is awesome. Ill see if he will go for that!

  21. would love to hear more about the teaching side of your life! (don’t get me wrong though, teacher style files are rad).

also, as a huge foodie, am always excited to see new recipes.
