it was a canadian christmas Pt. One…

So we went up to canada for christmas and we had such a great time. It was so much fun to be around everyone and see all my family. On sunday the 23rd was amys birthday so we all met up in Toronto for shopping, dinner, and some fun at the CN Tower. I though the CN Tower was something that everyone knew what it was but I guess not ’cause everytime I tell someone that have no idea what I am talking about. Anyways it was the tallest building in the world until recently, but I think it still is the tallest free standing building still. Its 1800+ feet high.

Ill get to that more alittle later. i am going to be explaining our trip as the pictures are shown. So you are going to have click see more pictures below to get the full trip experience.

we went to the eaton center first for a bit, which of course was crazy cause its a giant mall in toronto the day before christmas

the security was walking thru this metal detector that pul large and fast puffs of air at you for about 10 seconds. it was weird yet we all decided to make dance movements when the air hit us- the guard was not amused

the crazy part is that they have glass floors on one of the observation decks. So here we are 1400 feet above the ground laying on glass. it was very freaky

some of the parts of the tower were closed due to the high wind that was going on. The top sky pod was closed and the outdoor walkway around the largest deck was closed as well. You could fell the building swaying. Anyways where the revolving door was to the outside deck there was a crack between the door and the wall that was blowing in very strong freezing freezing air. We all decided to have contests who could stand in front of the crack the longest. lets just say it brought tears to peoples eyes as they stood there trying to win. haha kev won with a total of a 60 seconds.

travel…

so i have been watching the travel channel all day and it is only fueling my desire to travel. Between tv, our world map shower curtain and our large large world wall map- i cant stop thinking about it. I love Samantha Brown’s Passport to Europe. I wish it wasnt so expensive to fly there or anywhere for that matter. I was just a the website for the ice hotel in Quebec. I want to go there so bad- how awesome it that. I mean yes it is cold but your sleeping on ice and drinking from cups that are ice. Its like 399 dollars a night per person. yikes!! but it does include lots of free stuff. like dinner, and breakfast and an hour of dog sledding. WOW!! that is so cool, I want to go dog sledding.

here are your head shots…

hmmm…

I need more polaroid film. Why does it have to be so expensive.

Plus i need to figure out how to use my land camera so i can use my 669 peel apart film and make polaroid transfers. I tried it a couple times. but it didnt work out. Hmm amy help me.
What i really want is a daylab slide printer- now that would be amazing.

bonjour…

im trying to be more french (haha) because of some certain people living in montreal. Its been inspiring me to speak it more often (well in my head anyways). I wish i remembered more. i use to be so good. oh well.

anyways the zombie party has come and gone and lets just say that it wasnt much of a moving making night but it was filled with some awesome portrait studio shoots of zombies. They came out so good!!! I’ll be posting them in the next couple days. The party was a blast. I love just hanging out with everyone and although taboo is fun cranium is still my game of choice. Thanks to everyone who came out.

So i have been listening to the Mariah Carey Christmas cd alot lately. I know i know everyone is sighing right now like come on that cd is so bad. But have you listened to it lately? haha like anyone has it right? but its so so good. I mean she sings the entire cd with a gospel choir – now that is good stuff. Anways I am in love it with it.

we get to watch a documentary called “darius goes west” on friday as a school. I am actually very excited about watching it. It sounds like its supposedly a good film. I just had my last observation and meeting for the school year, which is also exciting.

We finished our christmas cards and they came out awesome. I cant wait for everyone to get one!!!!

ok thats it.
p.s has anyone been in an arie store?? Its the american eagle pj store. Oh Man I love everything in that entire store. Everything looks so cozy. I love pj’s- they rule!

Oh and sunday we got to spend the day with my mom dad, carrie, joel, amy and John in Toronto and I am so so excited about that. Its going to be so fun. Its amy’s birthday! Yeah!!

update…

‘ello
so thats not to much to report I guess. We decorated our apartment for christmas, its very nice! It was helpful that my mom had so many left over christmas things i got to take with me. School has been going good. its a weird time of year between thanksgiving and christmas break, no one really seems to want to do anything and we havent had a full week since because of the weather. Everyweek its something whether a snow day, late start or like today early dismissal. Classes have been pretty laid back. Only one more week till vacation. We are leaving in a week to go to Canada for christmas. I am so so excited because I havent seen alot of my family since before we even moved to hawaii. PLUS me and laura (cousin) are going to be the best christmas comittee pt. 2 ever!!!! Last weekend was my mom’s holiday house tour. We had about 300 people come thru our house. Its all for a charity called Hearts for Heat, they raise money for familes that cant afford oil in the winter. Anways there were about 5 house on the tour that you bought tickets to go thru. My mom went above and beyond decorating for christmas, she has been working since the summer making everything for the house. It was so amazing!!! The house was a million times better than any other house on the tour. It was great!
I am really excited about seeing these movies…
1. The golden compass
2. Juno
3. Into the wild
4. Sweeny Todd- I CANT WAIT!!!!

if you havent seen the darjling limited it was amazing. i loved it. except i dont like natalie portman in it- she was creepy.

here are some things i love lately and i want to share with you…
1. wearing boots
2. skipping and running at the same time
3. singing christmas songs
4. good smelling candles
5. sewing things
6. zombie christmas parties
7. Green tea with mint/ candy cane tea by celestial seasons
8. apple sauce
9. Dill humus
10. hanging out with kev (although thats always true)
11. overhearing funny conversations
12. project runway
13. stretchy pants
14. robes that are more sweatshirt like with hoods

yea hawaii friends!!!

so last weekend me and kev took the 8 hour trek out to pittsburgh to see toby, jenni, cody and the new caden. It was so so worth the trip. It was so awesome to see everyone and spend time together. It was a great time, we got to hang out, got to take the incline to see the view of the city and went to the science center. I do have to say that I had been thinking alot about what cody’s reaction would be to seeing us, like would he remember us? But I am going to have to say that when he saw us at the door he had the biggest smile on his face like at the moment he remembered us, it was so cute. Our time together was of course too short but we just enjoyed every moment of it…

here is the new baby…
