i guess its time…

so I guess its time to let the cat out of the bag (which i now know where that expression came from- a lady at work got me a cat book.) SOOOO the news is we are moving back to Massachusetts. Crazy huh? Well we have decided that it is time to start a new chapter in our married life and that invloves moving back to MA. Hawaii has been more than an amazing journey, we will never forget or regret coming here. I gave my notice at work yesterday and so did kev, we book are car shipping and we are buying are plane tickets for July 31st. Its really happening and its sad and exciting all at the same time. I can not believe that this weekend a year ago we were at erin and mikes wedding wishing them well knowing that in less than 12 hours we would be leaving home for an unknown amount of time and still had yet to pack. haha oh man that cracks me up when i think we hadnt packed yet. Oh well erin and mikes wedding was more than worth the late night of packing. July 2nd last year we headed out on the road after a nice breakfast at the richardsons blasting “saddle up my horses” as we headed across the country. We are going to drive cross country again but this time we are getting our car shipped to seattle and then we are heading north into canada and the east from there. Canadian rockies here we come. I am very very excited!!! We are going to see my cousin in jasper and and aunt in alberta. Then everyone in ontario, its going to be one great trip!!!

so sunday I ran my first 1/2 marathon. It was fun!! (for the most part) it as beautiful thats for sure. Running alongside diamondhead right next to the ocean as the sun was coming up. Anyways I was lucky enough to get a race numbber of 777 to bad it wasnt for the slot machines though. I may not have been as fast as most people but lets just say the week before I ran 11 miles in 2 hours and 28 mins. This week in the race I ran 13 miles in 2 hours and 9 mins. yoozer!! hehe I was proud of myself. Except im feeling it… I can hardly move.

So we went to the Mmissouri when my parents were here. It was alot of fun!! We took the explorers tour which took us deep inside the boat. The funny thing was the other day I was running around our neighborhood and our tour guide ran right past me.

fire, fire, fire…

So when my parents were here, we were at pearl harbor and we could see some huge fire that was happening somewhere off inthe distance that happen to look alot like where we live. Being freaked out it was burning our apt complex down we drove home and chased down where the fire was coming from. It was super close. It was across the street from us at the park. There was a major brush fire. Its funny seeing the differeneces between hawaii and anywhere else in the world-haha because there was no one telling anyone to back away, they didnt have the area blocked off or anything. I mean kids were playing in the brush that had just been on fire. Anyways safety aside it was fun being so close and watching the action. We got some great pictures…

an update…

sorry for the lack of pictures lately, we have been i guess hanging low on the weekends. There are only so many beach pictures that we can show before you all get bored. Anyways last weekend we entered that film contest, which was a crazy start to the weekend cause it was 48 hours of craziness trying to get it done. We were burnng it to cd at 4:48 when it had to be downtown at 5pm. It was intense.

We were also suppose to go help out on the set of extreme home makeover, we had the shirts and access passes and everything but a trip to the beach thte day before lef tus very burnt and quite miserable so we decided to pass. oh well, at least we got a shirt out of it.

I ran 11 miles on sunday which leaves me 2 short for my race this sunday but that will be ok. I am running in the Hibiscus half marathon on sunday.

We got a video camera from home so expect lots of videos now, which will be a great change from pictures, videos beat pictures anyday.

We went surfing on sat. I am not good, nor do I really enjoy it yet. I would rather just go swimming in the waves. It freaks me out, but I guess if you live in hawaii you better learn how to surf.

We had a long weekend last weekend. It was king kamehameha day, I dont know what he did that day but me and kev both got off of work.

Everyone at work still thinks I have cats which we dont and I feel bad telling them. Someone even got me a book about training cats, yikes.

We have been married 1 whole year on Saturday, I can not believe it!
It was funny because I signed onto my itunes account the other day to download a song for our movie and it said the last time I logged on was June 14th 2006 which was the day before our cruise when I went on to download the proclaimers song for our wedding cd. That has to be the best wedding song ever that anyone has ever picked. (no offense of course-hehe)

so we watch 50 first dates the other night. It was the first time we have watched it since we have moved here and it sure is funny. we can pick out almost every spot on the island that they are. Even the shirts that adam sandler wears are from places around the island and the way they talk and stuff. it was fun to watch.

ok im off to bed. I hope all are well.

GULLY…

oh gully how we love you.

Here is our video…

So there is a movie competition once a month in town that is called Showdown in Chinatown. The 2nd thursday of every month at 5pm a theme props and a line of dialogue gets posted and you have exactly 48 hours to make a movie with those guide lines. It has to be under 7 mins. This month the theme was “a gift” the props had to be a hose and a bracelet and the dialogue had to be “its really nice.” Then that second saturday night they play the videos on giant screen at this really awesome club. Its all brick with a shepard fairy installation at the back. Its sweet and judges vote on the best video. its fun. although we didnt even come close to winning. ehh
