So saturday was a beautiful day and we of course went to our favorite beach… Makapu’u beach. We love it there so much. Its just so tropical and beautiful and the water is awesome. I dont know what it was with yesterday but the waves were more consistant and more aggressive and i had what i will call a “panic attack” in the water because I couldnt get back in. I started freaking out. I couldnt touch because the waves were coming so high over me and i couldnt swim in because the under tow was really strong and the waves break so close to shore that its so hard to get in some times cause you constantly have to dive under because the wave is going to knock you out if you dont. Anyways, Kev was really good (of course) and was trying to calm me down and he got me back in. I dont know what happened but I think i just freaked my self out more than it being really really bad, i mean they were more aggressive then normal but it wasnt like super dangerous. I got out, rested and then got back on the horse and went back out ( to a spot that stayed shallower further out though.) Heres a clip from a lookout point up the side of the cliff above our beach. There were hang gliders and these guys in little bucket seats all over the place yesterday.
Here are some great pictures of the beach and us climbing up the side of the cliff above the beach. We found 3 war bunkers in the side of the cliff. They are really neat. Plus we found a cool tide pool.

The beach pictures are amazing – you guys look amazing, I love that picture of you. Jen I really like your bathing suit and cover-up, you are quite far away in the photo but the colors look awwsome. Dad thought the bunkers were really cool. I can see why you love that beach it is so beautiful! The flowers looked pretty they even had some gerber daisies in it! Wanted to sent them earlier so you had all weekend to enjoy them. Miss you guys a ton. Have an awesome day. And Happy Birthday again.
Love
