Hi everyone I am Jen Lula. Thanks for visiting jenloveskev! I originally started this blog in 2006 to keep in touch with family when my husband and I moved to Hawaii. It has transformed a bit thru the years and now in 2009 has become an outlet of inspiration and creativity as well as a source to keep in touch with loved ones.

I was born in Ontario, Canada and even though we moved to the states when I was 11, I’m still a Canadian citizen. My husband and I are going to own a summer home there one day that we will refer to as the “Canadian Safe House.” I think most little girls want to grow up and be ballerinas or marine biologists but for me all I wanted to do was be the official Zamboni driver for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I went to college for Studio Art- I loved all of my art classes but I was especially fond of any printmaking, letterpress and bookmaking classes I could take. My husband and I fell in love (hehe) in bookmaking class!  I am currently a High School Art teacher and as I start a MFA program I hope to move on up and become a college professor.

My husband Kevin is the Creative Director at a media agency and is one of the most talented designers/photographers I know. His personal website is Encourageothers.com. He is the love of my life and being able to share this life together is such a blessing. We got engaged May 23rd 2006. We got married June 16th 2006. We moved to Hawaii July 2nd 2006. We spent the first year of our marriage on an extended honeymoon on the island of Oahu. We have 2 cats named Pirate and Gully and we bought our first house out in the Berkshires, MA in June 2008.

I am currently 26 years old and am in love with fashion, interior decorating, creating art and crafts and cooking delicious vegetarian meals. I really hope that thru this blog people can be encouraged and inspired to fulfill their passions and dreams as I share mine on jenloveskev. Thanks for reading.
