When I saw this skirt at Beacons Closet last time I was in nyc, I was so pumped! I think it was handmade. There are no tags on it and the way it was sewn you can just tell. It is such a great skirt. I started thinking though… it would be so easy to make a skirt like this. Then I went on pinterest and there in my feed was a tutorial for a full gathered skirt. Bonus! I have a few things to get done on my to-do list but after that you can bet I am going to make some skirts. They are the perfect shape and length for the summer.

(This was my outfit from the mentor breakfast in TX.)

  2. This is the most lovely outfit. The colors are absolutely beautiful, and your pretty socks with those amazing shoes are just perfection!

  3. So glad it came in! I know you wanted to wear it in Texas (tweet-stalked you), but it looks great (esp with recent warmer weather!)

  4. I found an “obviously” handmade full skirt this winter at Salvation Army and it is one of my favorites!! ( http://afirstimpressionblog.com/2012/01/16/denial/ ) I’m sure your handmade ones will come out adorable, I have totally added that to my “want to do” list as well! πŸ™‚

  5. Your skirt is super cute- but Beacon’s closet is soo hit or miss- I saw a skirt from the gap sans tags lol passing as vintage? But I also found a definitely vintage moschino shirt that was adorable

  6. I love that top! I’ve been looking for one for a while, but I’m trying to find a vintage one first. I might just give up on that soon, though.. ha! πŸ™‚

  7. Jen, I was so inspired by all of your amazingly beautiful outfits at TxSC – you’re such an amazingly stylish gal & an absolute sweetheart to boot. Loved hearing you speak on the panel and getting a chance to hear about your blogging experience first hand, such an amazing weekend! Hugs! V

  8. Love the corset top, looks really nice with the plaid skirt!

  14. Oh how I would die for those swedish hasbeens. I have been on the hunt for closed-toe, t-strap, slingback clogs for you don;t know how long. Unfortunately, Swedish Hasbeens are out of my budget. Someone must make knockoffs!

    They look great on you!

I feel like I wouldn’t like those pieces alone, but you make them super adorable together. Seriously great outfit, I love the whole sock and heel trend. My guy friends think that I’m trying to be a third grader when I do it, but they obviously have no eye πŸ˜‰

  16. you look SO gorgeous!!! oh you pretty thing

  17. That skirt is the cutest thing, I love the shape and over all “twirly-ness” it seems to offer.

  20. Such an awesome outfit and I love the T-Strap clogs! I have a pair like that from Sven and I am in LOVE with them although the Center Square pavement really eroded the wood. I don’t care though, I will wear them until I can’t anymore =D
