Do you like Disney Movies? I LOVE them. I think I can sing every word, to every Disney song. Do you have a favorite? I love all the old classic like, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmations, and Beauty and the Beast, but my favorite is Hercules. Gospel Muses? Come on, now that is pure perfection. Such good music. The reason I ask is because, when I put on this dress I totally felt like Cinderella. I know it really isn’t like her dress, but something about it made me feel like I was in a Disney movie. I wish I had little mice, and sweet birds to come help me tidy up my house. Ok, back to the dress. I just love it. So romantic feeling and such a pretty pale blue color. I may not have been wearing glass slippers, but I was wearing something like it around my neck. Best necklace ever.

oh yeah. I am a total sucker for Newsies. Now that movie I can sing ever word too.

I love pretty much all the Disney movies! Nothings like laying around cuddling with my kids, while watching a Disney lovely! Lately we’ve been watching Mary poppins. I love the color of your dress, I can see why it makes you feel like Cinderella.

Robin Hood was my absolute favourite as a kid. A couple of months ago I was in a store somewhere and I heard this song that I recognized and could hum along but couldn’t quite place… and then suddenly it hit me, it was the song they played during the romantic firefly/forest scene. It had been ages since I saw that.
As for songs, the ones I know best are the Little Mermaid’s under the sea (stuck in your head all day long) and the Mary Poppins ones.
But as for the movies, I like the Japanese studio Ghibli movies even better than Disney ones, give them a try sometimes if you can, they’re gorgeous.

That dress is indeed wonderful! I love the pretty blue color. I’m basically a Disney movie freak. [And a freak for most other cartoon movies of the 90's.] I’m so happy to hear somebody talk about Hercules! It’s so underrated! The music is fun and the story is great too. I often put that one on and sing along to it with my sister. I also adore The Little Mermaid as it was my all-time favorite when I was very little. Plus, the music is awesome and Ariel has pretty red hair. Hunchback of Notre Dame is also a favorite of mine. It’s a bit more mature – in a good way. It’s beautifully drawn and has fantastic music too. It’s hard to choose favorites because I love them all so much. They’re what I watch when I want to feel happy.

  11. Ooh my favourites are Beauty and The Beast (so much so when I was younger that my dad painted the main picture from the cover of the video full length on my wall) and I used to watch it every night – that and Aladdin! :) And cinderella was always my sick day film of choice :) Ahh I miss childhood haha! I absolutely love the dress, the detailing is just lovely! I love the light colour of it too!

That dress is something special!!!!! I’m glad that I still have an excuse to watch Disney movies via my kids! Snow white has always been my favorite because there are great memories attached to it with my family. But oh I love Aladin, Pocahontas, Mulan, Neauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Lion King….well, you get the picture!

    Anyway, you look gorgeous!

I love Disney movies, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen any of the older ones but I’m very partial to Beauty and the Beast, Lion King and the Little Mermaid! I think its the ice blue color and the waistline of the dress that is most Cinderella-esque! You look beautiful, and I adore your wrist full of bracelets and necklace choice!

I can’t believe no one has mentioned NEWSIES yet! It’s the best. Young Christian Bale, ‘Spot Collins’, Young Bill Pullman – it’s seriously my fav movie of all time. I’ve been seeing Kenny Ortega, who directed it, pop up everywhere lately. Can I say that he directed High School Musical(s)? hah. And he was working on Michael Jackson’s tour (and is in the DVD)? That’s some serious talent, right there.

Love the dress, love the color, love the shoes!

Those shoes are amazing! And I Love Newsies!! :) One of the best movies ever!

I recently learned that pale blue used to be considered a very feminine color and pink was for boys, since it is a shade of red. That is why the older Disney princesses always wear blue, and also why Mary (as in big J’s mom) is always wearing blue in statues and other depictions. Interesting… thought I’d share my random fact. :)

Beautiful dress. I love it, especially the detailed ruffles on the top. So pretty and looks great on you!

  18. I love how witty the Disney movies are for adults – it makes them great for the whole family!

Newsies is simply the most underrated Disney movie ever. They are doing a stage performance of it in New Jersey currently, which basically means I need to go to NJ. But besides the obvious Disney “musicals” my favourite of the cartoons is “The Emperor’s New Groove.” It’s the best. And, hey, any outfit that makes you feel like a Disney character is more than awesome.

  25. Katrina

    07.22.11
