I really don’t know how to start this post without getting a little mushy. Over the last few years of blogging I have come in contact with a lot of truly geniune, smart, creative women. I count it as a blessing each day to have these ladies in my life. One such lady is Jessica from What I Wore. From the very begining Jessica has been such a huge support to me. When you meet her you instantly know just how down to earth, fun, and positive she is. When her new book “What I Wore: Four Season, One Closet, Endless Recipes for Personal Style” showed up at my door from Random House last week, I squealed in delight as I opened the package. Jessica is such a huge inspiration to me!
The book is light hearted, fun and easy to read. It made me want to get into my closet and start organizing in order to rework my favorite items. I love what Jessica has to say about each season. It is full of great tips and really encouages you to take your style to the next level. My absolute favorite thing about the book is that it is filled with Jessica’s drawings. I have always been a fan of her drawing style. The illustrations in the book are so engaging. I instantly found myself bending down page corners to remember certain outfits I wanted to use for inspiration.
My mom was visiting this weekend and she was flipping through the book this morning. She kept getting excited that she had all the basics that Jessica had laid out in the “Getting Started” chapter. My mom spent a good amount of time looking through it all. She loved it. (shhh don’t tell my Mom but I am totally going to give her one of 2 pre-ordered copies I have coming!)
Congrats Jessica! I couldn’t be more proud!!
