Delightfully Tacky

guestblogging

I asked each blogger to pick a piece of artwork that spoke to them in some way. It could be famous, not famous, new, old. whatever piece of artwork they wanted and then to create an outfit inspired by the piece. I will be back to regular blogging on Oct. 4th.

Today I would like to introduce Elizabeth from Delightfully Tacky

“I decided to go with an Impressionistic inspiration. Even though Impressionism isn’t my favorite period in art history, it really speaks to what my outfits have been like lately. Very light, floral and ethereal. I drew inspiration from Claude Monet’s Dans la Prairie and Woman with a Parasol. I like the lighting in both, and they have sort of breathy airiness to them, which I tried to capture in my outfit and photos”

Impressionism is one of my favorite periods as well as Monet. I love how you captured that.

I have loved all the posts in this series, but Elizabeth’s is by far my favorite. Very ethereal. (As a bonus, I am a big fan of her blog already so I was happy to see a familiar face)
