Week 40 Style File 09.02.10

Well, we just got back from our week 40 mid-wife appointment. Our official due date is tomorrow! I know she is not late yet but I am sorry, it is really hard waiting for such a huge event when it could happen anytime and you are totally out of control of it. She said everything is going good. Her head is real low, I even had a contraction while we were there with her. It was kind of funny. So we are trying to carry on with life as normal as possible until she arrives. So here we are 40 weeks pregnant still doing style files…

haha. I have to give credit to this whole look to the lovely Keiko Lynn. For 1. its her namesake dress from Modcloth and 2. I know she also has these shoes. Well, what can I can she is fashionable lady and I just can’t help myself. I added a little brooch that was my Grandma’s and a silver cuff that was given to me by a special family friend. If I do say so myself, I think its a pretty good otufit for being 40 weeks pregnant. hehe (trying to stay positive here are I feel like I am about to burst!)

Keiko Lynn Dress: c/o Modcloth
Brooch: My Grandma
Cuff: Gift
Calvin Klein Heels: Thrifted from Clothes Mentor

Fingers crossed we have some baby news to share soon!!

  1. you do not look like you are about to burst! ha so funny you look so cute esp. for someone about to give birth….i shudder to think what i would look like if i were you…(sweats all day)…anyway you look so cute!

  2. Let’s face it there are definitely worse inspirations out there than Keiko Lynn. You look absolutely fabulous for being so far a long. Here’s to hoping that little girl arrives this weekend! I know it’s your birthday maybe she’ll be your greatest gift ever.

  3. gosh that dress is beautiful! love the neckline.

and really really hope your baby makes her debut tomorrow!

  4. Yikes! Good luck with everything!!! I don’t know if I’d be able to carry on with life as usual….what does that mean? haha. I feel like I’d be laying in bed, wondering at every second if it was THE moment. Maybe I’m a hypochondriac, haha. Best of luck with everything, and hey – just checked to see I picked Sept. 2nd as the due date in your giveaway challenge, so can you start pushing already?

    =) jk…all the best!

oh yeah and cute outfit, heh, heh. All this baby stuff is so exciting, I almost forgot to add that note!

  6. Absolutely beautiful dress. I love everything Modcloth!

  7. I seriously want to copy every outfit you’ve worn while pregnant when I get pregnant. So, in another 7 or 8 years, basically. You look so cute and happy – I can imagine you are uncomfortable and excited, but dang girl – you make it look good!

  8. I know exactly what you mean! I have my 40 week appointment in a few hours and I’m so anxious and tired of waiting. My due date is today and I’m pretty sure she is going to be late unless something happens and they magically want to induce me for some random medical reason which I highly doubt will happen lol.

    Good luck! 🙂

  9. I can’t imagine having to wait for something so epic to happen! Try to enjoy it as best you can.

You look stunning in these pics – I am in love with this dress…especially the neckline.

  10. This is one of your best looks! I love this dress. Hoping it happens soon!

  11. You look beautiful!!!!

  12. This is SUCH a beautiful dress! And the shoes are a perfect match. I have a feeling this will be the last style file we seen for quite some time 😀 I’ll say a prayer for you!

  13. You look gorgeous and put together — more than I could say for myself if I was 40 weeks pregnant! Good luck in the upcoming days…!

  14. good luck jen! can’t wait to hear the baby news! that’s so exciting! i wish you and kev and safe and happy delivery!!!!

  15. I was chatting with my mom this weekend; “My ‘friend’ (I love your blog) Jen is about to have her baby and she is trying to keep herself busy because the baby is due this week.”

And my mom, having four daughters was like, “That is the absolute worst. You just want her to come out and play! Hopefully she can relax and enjoy little things because before you know it – your whole life has changed!!”

So get a comfy blanket, a warm brownie (a recipe is on my current post!), and snuggle with Kev. Enjoy the silence, and know that any day now, she will come! And everything will change!!

Cannot wait to see the post – “She’s Here!!” Thinking and praying for you all week, love.

  16. And oh yeah, you are such a stylish mommy! I LOVE your shoes, and ahhhh, you’re just the cutest pregnant girl ever! I LOVE how you’ve kept your style throughout your pregnancy and it still looks amazing. I cannot wait for baby! Will you dress her to match your outfits? hehe

  17. Jen… you look absolutely beautiful! I am amazed that not only are you posting style files up until the due date, but including big ass heels in them! You are rocking the shit outta that dress and I can’t wait to hear about your new life as a mom… so soon 🙂 Thanks for sharing this ride with us… it’s been so fun keeping up with you!

  18. ooooh i cannot wait to see photos of her!! i hope she’s born tomorrow. i love the #3 and the month of september 🙂 you look gorgeous m’dear, xo

  19. Okay, you look adorable BUT you don’t look like she has dropped yet! That’s what is making me think you have a little while till she comes. What did the midwife say?

  20. Yay 40 weeks! You look SO great! I am only 18 weeks and when I see all your cute outfits it really helps to remind me that just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I can’t still show off my individuality and style. You have definitely done that over the entire pregnancy and you always look so pulled together and cute.
Good luck with everything! All your fans are sending good vibes your way and hoping that all goes well! And I can’t wait to hear her name (if you choose to share it!) We are having a hard time coming up with girl names that we like! Girl names are hard!
As always thanks for sharing Jen!

    PS. I’m a new follower, hello 🙂

  43. You and me Babe….40 weeks today. Unless you’re in labor as I type, it looks like we’ve hit “the date” and aren’t holding our little ones yet. This is our fourth and I’ve never gone to my due date before, so this is a whole new experience. Baby #1 was born the day before….#2 was born at 36 weeks 3 days and #3 came 5 days early. #4 is surprising us all! Hang in there….it will happen, but it definitely isn’t the easiest thing to wait. My only actual “concern” is that my first two were 7lbs. 4oz…..#3 came out 8 lbs. 13 oz…….HOW BIG WILL THIS ONE BE!?!? 🙂 You look great….we all look forward to hearing the news. I wish I twittered, but for those of us that are still relatively old school, please don’t wait too long to give us the news.

  44. I just discovered your blog through WIW. You look fantastic, all the best for the baby on its way!

  45. Hello beautiful momma-to-be! Finally got caught up on your blog! Missing you, your stories and photos as I was driving across the country. Looking forward to hearing about the new addition to your family once she arrives. Wishing you a swift and safe delivery xoxo Give Kev a hello from us! Love Nicole & Shane

    P.S. Happy Birthday Weekend!

  46. You look really beautiful! Good luck with the baby 🙂

  47. You make being pregnant look so cute.. I love your outfits!!!

  48. Wow! If I can look as good as you do when I’m about to burst with child, I’ll be one lucky woman! You look adorable!

  49. What a gorgeous dress! You look amazing in it, you guys are going to be such a beautiful family. It’s so exciting! I hope the baby comes soon!

  50. I love the polka dots on you! Can’t wait to see the baby! 🙂

    Just Better Together

  51. This is adorable! Best wishes for a safe delivery!

  52. I don’t comment much here but have been reading your blog for a good while now. It’s one of my favs. I just wanted you to know that I love how you have approached pregnancy and dressing for it. My fear when I am pregnant one day is that I’ll have to wear a ton of stretchy clothes and nothing fashionable. I DO NOT want to be THAT person. 🙂 Thank you for keeping it fashionable, fun and fabulous! I actually look forward to being pregnant now (well one day!).

Here’s to a safe delivery and healthy baby!
