So it always makes me nervous going back to school after a long vacation. So I wanted to wear something that I felt comfortable in and also warm. My classroom has been getting increasingly cold everyday and I just freeze all day long. I got this poncho thing at forever 21 for like $8 when they were on sale one day. I never thought I would want to wear a poncho, but when I think of it-its really a blanket that is acceptable to wear in public, so honestly it sounds amazing to me!!
I have also gotten sick (thanks kev) and I am not dealing very well. hehe. During the day its tolerable but at night I can not sleep because I am so congested and my throat is so sore. Blah! Even more reason to want to wear a blanket right? Hope you guys are having a better start to the week than me! I however have a date nigth planned with Kev tonight. We are going to dress up a little and go out for dinner!! I can not wait!!

Poncho: Forever 21 $8

I LOVE this so much. I must seek out something similar.
I also wanted to tell you that one of your resolutions really hit home with me the other day. I fall into the blogger comparison trap so easily. And regardless of what the numbers are, I truly LOVE blogging. Sometimes, I just lose sight of it I guess. So, here’s to being fabulous no matter what!
Thanks for the inspiration!

I have the same cold as you, it’s so annoying! I have been popping advil cold and sinus and it helps to relieve the symptoms quite a bit. Nothing like bed rest, but the next best thing.
I love your pon….blankie, cozy comfy.
My version of that is my fair isle sweater, or something from my husband’s closet.

I love the poncho! It seems like the perfect thing to wear when you’re feeling not so great. I’ve been fighting off congestion too. Right now I’m finding that facial steams are helping a lot. And have you ever tried a Neti Pot? They can work wonders.

I like the poncho you chose. I couldn’t figure out which one would look best so I just didn’t get one at all. But at $8 it would have been nice to have any of them.

We have a good 5 inches of snow here, so I’m in full support of the blankets as outwear initiative!

Your poncho is definitely cute! I’ve loved ponchos since I was a little kid. My mom used to send me to church every week with my cute dress and one of my two cream ponchos. So, of course, I now I have tons of ponchos. Love ‘em! Very cozy!

This post reminded me that I have a poncho in my closet that I haven’t worn yet! It’s funny how things get lost in there.
I love how the layered necklaces subtly bring out the colors in the poncho. Feel better & enjoy your date night!

my roommate is getting over a horrible stomach virus and my boyfriend has pinkeye … i think i’m doomed to getting sick sometime soon!
you look quite comfy in that poncho .. though when i think poncho i think more like a square fabric with a hole cut in for the head … they were popular a few years ago. this one looks more shawl-like!

Sometimes comfy and warm is the most important thing. I would totally wear a blanket to work if it wouldn’t get in my way all day.
Very cute pictures too!
