i somehow came across this guys flickr account the other day- but i really enjoy all of his stuff. Its super clever and cracks me up especially the ones in the album titled: More regrettable incidents in a life filled with bitter remorse.

after graudation we stayed up in rochester for the weekend…

so this is really late getting put up on here but in May we went up to Rochester to watch amy graduate from RIT. She graduated with a degree in photography well i guess biomedical photography. Anyways we had a great time there and were all very proud of her…

so amy came home from dc the other weekend to shoot a photo story for greenpeace about some workshop greenpeace was having for college kids. (I think that was what it was) anyways it was great to see amy and john. They got me to watch almost the entire first season of friday night lights in one day. haha ok so they didnt have to push hard. As amy would say “who doesn’t like inspirational sports movies?” On Sunday me, kev and John went into boston to meet amy after she was done shooting for the day. I love boston so much- its a bummer that we live so far away now- but it was great to be there even though it poured and we eneded up running like crazy people down newbury street to find shelter. We ate at this great restaurant called The other side cafe. Anyways we drove amy and john back over to the captial building to get amys car and said our goodbyes and almost headed off when amy came running back at us saying she had a flat tire. haha it wouldnt be a visit for amy with out some kind of car trouble. haha

so my mom came out to stay with us last week for a few days so that we could do some touristy things together around the berkshires. We went to The Mount and walked around lenox and stockbridge and went to the Norman Rockwell Museum. It was fun to have her here for awhile.

So I went to brimfield a week ago with my mom- we had a great day! it was extremely warm and sunny and I got ridiculously burnt on my back but i guess in the end it was while worth it -although I am regretting not getting this sweet accordian that I saw that was only 25 dollars. I did however walk away with some old wooden type that I found that spell out our last name and a small cord organ. Kev can now play the star spangled banner and some old catholic church song on. haha we love that thing!

So Laura came out the other week to check out our new digs and to visit- I was so glad to see her and the baby. i dont like missing out on seeing him grow up. She was a great help painting all the trim in the den (which is just now finally finished-ugh!) We went out one night for a girls night and left kev with the sleeping baby. We went to this great little french restaurant in Lenox called Baroods (www.baroods.com) We each had a dinner crepe mine had eggplant and zuchinni in it (Mmmm) and then I had a dessert crepe too- which was called The Smore. Lets just say is was amazing. I mean if it has nutella in it how can you go wrong. All in all it was a great visit-I love when she comes to see me.

So for the 4th of July weekend Kev, me, Mike and Erin all headed up to Kevs families cabin in NH. I was excited to get to sleep in our tent again we havent used it since before we went to hawaii. It was a great weekend- the weather was perfect. it was so nice to get to spend some actual time with Mike and Erin. Kevs family was up there till saturday morning and then we stayed thru sunday. Camp food is always better than regular food- we have amazing breakfasts and dinners. I proudly brought my canada flag camp chair and sat in it all weekend until kev broke it (it was an accident of course) and told me it served me right for bringing it to the 4th of july weekend- haha

so we were trying to get a group photo before we left but there was nothing to rest the cameras on excpet this rock on the edge of the water- we only had 10 sec. to press the button run around the rock and down the dock and get into position. You can tell me and erin didnt do it fast enough…

I caught 25 baby frogs!!!

so there is this place that me and kev stumbled upon one of our times up to the cabin that is the greatest place to go swimming. Other than the fact that the water is always freezing (mountatin water) its like its natures own water park. There are rapids and water falls and rocks to climb all over and little tide pools and huge rope swings off the train tressle and cliffs to jump off and run down mill buildings. We love it there…

so here are the 3rd set of photos from our trip… the night ones. We had a great time playing with sparklers (who doesnt love them?) and cooking taking sunset paddleboat rides. The picture of kev where he looks like is is breathing sparkler came out awesome- it was such a fluke shot- Mikes flash went off just as a took he picture and it lit my picture awesome.

so i started listening to the band The Avett Brothers around sept. last year and have been really enjoying them. I think my taste in music has been changing alot lately. Anyways we missed out on seeing them at the end of last year at revolution hall in albany but we got another chance tonight. They played again at Revolution hall which is a great venue (our church is there on sundays) anyways they were AMAZING!!!! Oh my goodness they have so much energy- i always find it rare to be more in love with a band after you see them live. Bands arent always great live and hardly ever better live then what they had recorded. The Avett Brothers are a show you dont want to miss- it was just awesome. Its like they are playing the songs from the cd but x10 the guy gets all screamy and they just play with such intesity. Forgive my terrible description of music I was never any good at describing music. Anyways if The Avett Brothers are coming to a town near you I would suggest you go…

ooo p.s we got tickets today to go to the Newport Folk festival. Its going to be great the avett brothers are playing there and so is cat power and she & him -plus lots more. Its going to be great…

does anyone else love ralph steadman? Me and kev are in love with his art. Its crazy! We have the Gonzo, The Art book and I just saw his wine books in barnes and noble the other day- I want those now too! I also want to try and find the illustrated version of animal farm and alice and wonderland.
